Agree with your last sentenceYou might as well add the Toffee Lady to your list. Synonymous with Everton, embodies our values, special. Won nothing either.
I don't have an issue with Seamus being revered as a symbol of his era and of the club in that era. The issue is it was a crap era, a gaslighting era where the fans were manipulated and Coleman was a cipher of that manipulation. Seamus is also now of the past. We need to move on. Dewsbury-Hall spoke more sense the other night than Seamus has in years. His time is up. Get him off the stage before he's getting pelters. Nobody needs that.
Irish and Scots have cultural links don't they and you'll find a lot of the Irish will support one or the other of the Old FirmWhat connection does Coleman have to a Scottish club that he’s never played for?
We should play the Ireland national team, at least then he’d drag himself out of bed to play in it.
Ha Ha Ha.You might as well add the Toffee Lady to your list. Synonymous with Everton, embodies our values, special. Won nothing either.

Ha Ha Ha.
FFS, I've got to hear the reasoning behind this...

For some posters Coleman has become a mystical, almost God-like, figure that changes the metaphysical reality of the world around them. It's weird.Has no one ever been sent off when he is on the pitch or something?
it’s a one off incident. Coleman has barely played for the last 3 years and it’s not happened in any of those non appearances until now.
Also, we can’t have him on the pitch if he is injured. Should we have just left him on unable to move?
I wonder if that red mist descends on Gueye if Coleman is on the pitch at the time?
I somehow think not.
That's his value to Everton as much as playing time from now on.
….gutted for him breaking down so early in the game. He must have been desperate to have made that start and you could see how distraught he was going off. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was 2 grown men in tears in that dressing room after 20mins.
He’s a terrific man is Seamus Coleman and the decision to extend his contract is fully justified given what players say about his influence. Dangerous to write him off but football at this level is physically demanding and unforgiving.
Celebrate him whilst we can.
You think that countless Everton players, coaches and managers are all spinning a line to justify Coleman's wages?Nonsense this. But people lap it up.

So what overall?Countless aye?
In no world has his extension been justified. Relegated to little more than a cheerleader role, which he could have done in a coaching role if need be.
