Well done Scotland........

Moomin

Player Valuation: £90m
Just a shame that the other home nations of Southern Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland have yet to qualify for the world cup.

They are the black sheep of Great Britain.

What a great overhead goal by Scott McTominay a true Scot born in the birthplace of Scotlands most famous dish of Haggis which is Lancashire.

We have had a great tradition of Scottish players at Everton from Andy Gray, Duncan Ferguson, Davie Wier, Aiden McGeady, James McFadden and Graeme Sharp.

Lets hope our Scottish cousins can make it out of the group stages for a change.

You've included Aiden McGeady who identified as an Irishman and excluded probably our greatest ever Scottish player the Golden vision.
Oh and @davek just contacted me to remind you of the god like Nathan Patterson, pull yer finger out Mooms👍

McGeady is Scottish, like the other chap who played for us but got his Irish passport from a box of lucky charms.

Well done Scotland. Delighted for them.

Also well done to debutants Cape Verde, Uzbekistan and Jordan.

Oh and Curacao - population 150,000.

Everybody gets a go at this world cup. Hurrah.

Well done to all these underdogs and those with absolutely tiny populations. Uzbekistan though should be able to go far in the tournament with a population that exceeds that of Portugal and the Netherlands.

Also well done to Scotland for qualifying for their first World Cup in nearly 30 years despite having a population that dwarfs lots of European nations and also being able to use full blown English players like Scott McTominay.

All joking aside, the World Cup is better for having the home nations in it, and I hope the others don’t let us down and can join England and Scotland at the tournament.

Not gona lie i was cheering them on last night. They were absolute dog sh!t most of the game but pure will & fight got them through. In fact i watched them home to Greece. Away to Greece. And last night. And they were crap in all three lol. So to win the Group is some achievement. Well that and Denmark. If Denmark get a tough qualifier and dont make it to north America it has to go down as one of the worst shoot yourselves in the foot episodes ever. Belarus will haunt them for years.

Scotland and Liverpool are now welded together in my mind.

That win last night was immediately crowned with Dalglish-Robertson-Jota talk.

Ben Gannon-Doak was 'ex-Liverpool man', Ben Doak.

Even the manager Steve Clarke was talking about Dalglish.

Liverpool FC are traditionally a Scottish club: team of Macs, more players from Scotland employed by that lot than any other club.
