2025/26 David Moyes

Seeing as you seem to have watched him at Southampton & Flamengo, perhaps you could elaborate on this?

You can also find the information on lie if you havent actually watched him play at either team. Several posters commented on his play at Southampton for example.
He’s a highlights player. Not the first and certainly not the last. But to be a starter there is much more to the game - you need to be reliable over 90 minutes.

He’s not a 10, he’s playing as a hybrid. Stats wise he is better both defensively and offensively than Alcaraz, which is probably why he gets picked ahead of him.

Can you hazard a guess why a safe player has better stats than someone who is a difference maker, used out of position or thrown on for limited minutes when the team are losing?

Thanks for that but I was more questioning you dismissing his age as not being relevant and then using it for your own argument. Somewhat hypocritical.
I wasn’t. I don’t think his age is a relevant factor. But saying someone is 22 when they are on the cusp of a birthday gives an inaccurate impression.

He is still very praised by Soton fans, go to their forum and check it yourself.
Only bc their manager at that time was [Poor language removed] and doesn't use him. He was who decided go to Brazil with other Juventus players.
But the fact remains that he showed flashes in the Premier League and was not a standout when they went down to the Championship. At some point it is the player’s own performance and consistency that are the problems.

I say this every time it comes up but the amount of points you get in any given season is only relevant in the context of that season. Finishing 1st with 90 points is better than finishing 2nd with 100.
It's almost as though there is no correlation between 3 sides being relegated and collecting 10 points or less each in that season and the rest of the league amassing record points totals.

This underlines that you know NOTHING about the player at Southampton.

NOTHING

It would be stupid to disagree with someone with a weird agenda - a word i very rarely use.

But he’s a difference maker who doesn’t make a difference! Hence the bench.

Yet he'd had far more impact for Everton in his 1007 minutes in the league since joining compared with 799 minutes with KDH.

3 games difference for 1 player being used every single game despite being ineffective and another player, typically used out of position or not at all.

Seems like you are extremely biased towards KDH & Moyes. Or anti-Alcaraz.

How can be his performance if the manager don't use him? One missed chance and the player is garbage for ever?
Dibbling is a bad player bc doesn't play? One bad game is condemnatory?

Who cares if he’s only 22? He needs to produce something. His incompetence late vs. Sunderland was shocking.

Across Southampton, Flamengo, and Everton, his averages have hovered around 0.1 goals/assists per 90 min, 1.2 key passes per 90 min, 5–6 progressive carries, very few tackles/interceptions relative to his position.

Also, he turns 23 in a few weeks.

Weird bloke you.

He'll say Armstrong is crap next as hes on loan. Or Anzou will never make it as a footballer as Barca & Bayern didnt make him their youngest ever captain or something weird.

Southampton, Juventus & Flamengo situations are all availble to find online on this very forum.

Theyve not even bothered to look.

Even if he was 23 my point would still be valid tha he's a younger player still in the process of finding his footing you're just being pedantic, if you think a couple months/weeks makes a difference. It's not like he's Dwight McNeil's age.
