Unnecessary, I want him to be as good as everyone else. Why wouldn't I? I praised Rooney and Barkley to the absolute roof tops as soon as they came on the scene. I haven't seen anything exceptional from this lad yet. Just a load of fans getting over excited. There's a massive difference between doing well in the EPL and being a premier league regular.
Joey, honestly, even if he is better than what we have right now (which I seriously doubt), I don't think throwing him in the deep end in central midfield is the right thing to do for him. Youngster do well being introduced into settled functional teams where they can make mistakes and find their feet. We are a millions miles away from that.

He did. Loan success in the EPL is largely irrelevant to whether a player is capable of success in the premier league. But Barkley clearly always had all of the tools.
And what difference will that make? Based on watching HA for Preston so far there's no evidence he's better than any of our current midfielders. They would all absolute rip it up in the EPL.
Where we are has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on Harrison Armstrong's development at Preston.
