2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

I see what i see in a player, not really sure about you, the way you come across just seems like your against us having a good lad on our hands.

Either you havent watched him or you don't understand a player without a fact sheet in front of you.

Very strange m8 ( just be happy )
I’ve watched him multiple times with high hopes and been very underwhelmed. Limited passing range and average touch on the ball. Hopefully he gets better. I could see the talent immediately in players like Barkley, Gordon, Rodwell. He’s nowhere near were they where at a similar age.

I have, and he is not yet, and that seems to be exactly the same thing everyone at PNE is saying. He plays the DM role well because he is obsessed about keeping the ball. When put under pressure, its all he thinks about. Our cup game is a great example of that, he always erred on the side of very cautious when under any pressure, just retaining the ball, typical DM play. His good passes were then long passes when no one was pressuring him.

Some people on here seem to need him to be more than he is at 18. Its fine for him to not be good at everything at 18. They are setting him and them up for failure when reality sets in. Just let him be him right now and learn and get better at the things he is currently not good at.
Who needs him to be more than he is ? all i say is just watch him, dont make comparisons and let him grow. But then I see posters jumping down on the lad..

No one knows what he'll be like in 12-24 months.

He's a good lad with alot of potential.

I agree. But if people overrate him and overpraise him others will have higher expectations than are warranted and will be disappointed when he’s not in the first team next year.

Thats what ive been trying to say since he went on loan m8, this thread was at a nice steady pace of posters just watching him play, giving updates on what they have seen or what has been said by teammates, interviews and general stuff like that, and thats how it should have been left, but once again a nice thread has turned into carnage..

I'm pretty sure i said at one point he shouldn't have been given his own thread, its like a death sentence on here..

We dont need to fight over this lad, we should just be happy we've got him, and can watch him develop.

What happens after that, we can look forward to that than.

But why cant we just have one peaceful thread on this side of the forum.

I completely agree. I prefer not to know about young players until they actually have a chance of making a material impact in the first team. But I read stuff on here and all of a sudden I am registered on the PNE website and watching PNE v SU in the hope of seeing the next Gerrard.

I do like the lad BTW. He's got the size and a good mentality. What I liked about Barkley at a young age is that he looked to dominate the ball. He didn't just play a simple pass. He used to run with the ball and beat multiple players. Same as Gerrard. Would like to see HA hang on to the ball longer rather than just making quick simple short passes.

I'll happily watch a game or even just 45mins if not doing anything else, or we've got a game.
other than that, I like seeing interviews and stuff posted on here that I wouldn't have initially seen.

But signing up to their website, sorry bud but that just made me crack up 😂

I let it get to me when it shouldn't, I could just seeing it heading this way.

But now I know you are a registered PNE subscriber I can just have giggle.

No-one.
And I mean no-one,
Cares about your opinion.

What midfielder do you rate so far for us this season when our best has to fill in at full back - left or right back ?

Since the Wolves league cup debacle - the only game they have won all season by the way it showed we had no strength in depth - particularly everywhere ?

H A is now out on loan & he can play in two positions defensive midfield or attacking midfield - plus w have the AFCON coming up ?

He has to stay next season IMO ....

That wasn't an insult m8.

This is where messaging, not actual face to face talking goes wrong, you or I read different to what other person is saying.

Face to face talk those errors dont play out.

I did find it funny that you went that extra step, but not as an insult.
If it was Vice Versa I wouldn't take it as an insult.

I'm not that kind of person, so sorry if thats how it came across..

Gordon went to Preston at the age of 20 for a half a season loan, only played 11 times, not sure how many starts he made out of them, didn’t get a goal and i remember at the time, the reports were it wasn’t a very impressive loan from him.

Just looked, he played 500 minutes over 11 matches, no goals and no assists

Barkleys main standout was his ball striking ability with either foot, his first Everton goal against Norwich was eye catching in the extreme
