2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Try watching him on iptv ...
I have. I watched the entire Shef. Utd game on replay and I was pretty underwhelmed to be honest. He was ok but nothing remotely special unless you make massive adjustments for his age. Not at all what I was expecting given everything I head read on forums about his performance.

You did not see his league cup tie fir us then when he was MOTM ?

Have you been watching him, he is anything but a player that hasn't got creativity, his movement forward with the ball is brilliant.

I'm actually going to stop cos many posters have already seen this and I don't want to keep saying the same things, again and again.

Just give him a watch, and than see if you feel the same with his gameplay.
I have, and he is not yet, and that seems to be exactly the same thing everyone at PNE is saying. He plays the DM role well because he is obsessed about keeping the ball. When put under pressure, its all he thinks about. Our cup game is a great example of that, he always erred on the side of very cautious when under any pressure, just retaining the ball, typical DM play. His good passes were then long passes when no one was pressuring him.

Some people on here seem to need him to be more than he is at 18. Its fine for him to not be good at everything at 18. They are setting him and them up for failure when reality sets in. Just let him be him right now and learn and get better at the things he is currently not good at.

It's more than that Zat. This kids already fantastic.
He's going to be incredible.
The big question is will it be with us and will it be same old Everton and cash in early?

There are a lot of factors to look at here but if Everton want to become a top 4 side then my approach would be to:

1: Invest and develop English u21 players like Branthwaite, Dibling, Armstrong.

2: Find undervalued u25s like Ndiaye and O'Brien.

3: Find underused senior players to provide immediate quality and short-term impact through leadership and experience e.g Grealish

To build a top 4 squad you either have to come from an already successful position, have the ability to spend fortunes or work the market and develop players.

For me, some underappreciate the likes of Garner and O'Brien. These types can play multiple roles and as we've seen with top successful sides, are invaluable in top level squads.

Currently In the squad I'd say that; Pickford, Branthwaite, O'Brien, Garner, Ndiaye, Alcaraz, Dibling and Grealish(?) are the only 8 players that I would deem the closest to 'unsellable'.

If we're looking at a squad of 23 players then clearly we still need to look at the likes of Travers, Tyrer, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Aznou, Patterson, Coleman, Gana, Iroegbunam, Rohl, KDH, McNeil, Beto & Barry to see if any of those can join the 8 above in the next season or two.

Coming back to Armstrong, I find it extremely likely that he will join those 8 unsellable players upon returning to the club in the summer.

The key in my opinion, isn't whether the club would cash in on him. It is, for me if we can improve the other 15 to an extent that we have a top 6 squad.

Then he wont push for a move and we wont need to generate any funds from his sale.

Never judge a player on what you read on forums. Christ there is no middle ground on forums lol. They're either maradona or mark pembridge.

This has all the feels of how Moyes brought through Leon Osman.

Long may it continue…

I thought it was pretty average and they only gave it to him because he's young. If Garner or Dwight McNeil had put in an equivalent performance no one would bat an eye lid.

Honestly, take twenty minutes to read what they say about him.... older football fans saying he destined for far bigger things, last season they were saying he is the best loanee they have ever had and they had had world class players ffs
I am not saying he is prime messi but you are the only one not seeing hat he has about him

Anyone that can’t see how impressive it is for an 18yr old to even hold their own in the centre of the park at championship level obviously hasn’t a clue about football, up against seasoned pros in a division where you can still give and get a good kicking, tough at any age, at 18 is remarkable. It’s ok to like or rate more than one EFC midfielder at a time. Hopefully they all kick on a level

So you’re assuming he’s a good player based on what he might do with the ball if people actually passed to him?
I see what i see in a player, not really sure about you, the way you come across just seems like your against us having a good lad on our hands.

Either you havent watched him or you don't understand a player without a fact sheet in front of you.

Very strange m8 ( just be happy )

I know it’s a totally different level, but when he was 17 he got a hat trick and 3 assists as our under 19, beat Forest 7-0 or 7-1. Could has had 4 assists v Mansfield in the cup 2 months ago. Ended up with 2. To say he’s not creative is a nonsense
Just to make sure my post didn't make sense, Thats not me saying he isn't creative m8..
