The greatest crime of all

£27m Beto - crap now and won't get better
£30m Barry - crap now, nobody knows if he'll improve (but we needed an instant significant improvement on Beto and he's obviously not that)
£10m Aznou - seemingly deemed nowhere near good enough yet
£35m Dibling - seemingly deemed either not ready or not good enough to start yet

£102m there or thereabouts and you could argue all we needed was an improvement on Harrison, Mykolenko and a striker that can score goals.

The two real young ones that we hope can have a big future are nowhere near the side, Beto wouldn't look out of place in a Sunday league side full of hungover middle-aged fellas, and Barry I've not yet seen break into a sprint, never mind have a shot on goal.

For a team that's miraculously survived consecutively flirtations with relegation and needed several upgrades in the starting XI, that's yet another scandalous misuse of money.
