2025/26 David Moyes

Also I love that we kinda press when we feel like it , but if you're going to press it has to be sustained for more than a minute
You can do that for 5 minutes or so and then recover and again and again. There's no limitation placed on it for any team.

It puts the opposition out of their comfort zone not knowing when it's coming

There's no excuse for us not to try basic stuff like that to get us out of the predictable mess we're in.

I don't think we played as bad as the scoreline would suggest but other than the disallowed goal and the shot from Garner we didn't seem like we were going to score.
I get that, and it’s clear as day it’s all down to not having a good enough striker. We’re a few transfer windows away from being a really good side.

It’s not all down to that, and we need to avoid just thinking everything would be totally different with a better striker. It is an issue, but it’s a long way from the only one.

I dont think Everton will ever be successful without playing direct football. Slow build up is not Everton. It will never work.
That's why you balance it out, if we want to use players more comfortable on the ball, you than balance it out with more direct players so you have a mix of both.

If we had an actual RB and a proper Striker on the pitch, I doubt i'd be reading so much angst

Transition is just an excuse that bad teams make.

We spent good money in the summer but unfortunately it looks like a lot of it was wasted. We should be doing much better than we are and I dont see any reason to allow excuses or to be patient.

Everyone at the club needs to do better. The players were dreadful today. The manager is doing a bad job and made an inexcusable mistake in the Wolves game. The recruitment team failed yet again. And the new ownership haven't got the right structures in place yet. We don't even know who is ultimately responsible for new signings.

Transition is an excuse for bad decisions. I dont believe in what we are doing.

Disagree to be honest, you only have to look around the jeagye at the likes of City and RS.

The more changes you make the more the players have to adjust. It’s fairly logical.

Being impatient is also logical and understandable to mind. Everyone deserved the new dawn feel good thing! But was always going to be a project.

Looks like hes fallen into the trap of just looking to play the same side, regardless if it works or not.

We've currently got a very limited left back, with a left back on the bench who is too raw for him to consider

We've currently got a centre half playing right back, when there's a right back on the bench who seems to be there as a token gesture but is currently fit.

A centre half out of form whilst one plays right back

A centre mid who isnt having the best of times (Gueye) but keeps getting selected

A number 10 (KDH) who isnt a 10 but Moyes seems to think he adds goals and links up play. There's no way Alcaraz wouldn't be on at least 1 goal and a couple of assists if given 10 games in the 10 spot.

The less we say about the strikers the better, just alternating them hasn't worked and isnt working.
