The Moyes question

What's your position on Moyes?

That’s the gist of Everton’s ambitions…sit at 12-15 spots avoiding the relegation and dreaming about glorious past…
Not at all mate. This is a genuine question not just to yourself but to other blues... If Moyes got us to a FA Cup Final once what's stopping this happen again? That squad wasn't the best in the Prem but it had a fight about it, maybe it's just me but I think there's a lot more fight in this squad now compared to Dyche, and the football is better than Dyche, Lampard or Benitez. Just my views, optimism may be a sin amongst blues but I see good signs is all I'm saying.

Moyes can frustrate me quite a bit, especially the timing and use of subs. And he truly annoyed me with his team selection for the league cup, our pathetic exit and his reaction to it.

However I can see some general progress in our football and he is far better than most of the managers we’d likely be able to attract. Relegation has been a genuine threat in recent years and he seems to have us comfortably clear of it despite significant squad limitations. So I’m firmly in the “cheese on toast” category and if pushed would veer to team Moyesiah.

Really hope he doesn’t throw the FA cup the same way he did the league cup with team selection/tactics, if he did that would likely change my selection.

I hope we are using the time Moyes is here to really find the manager to take us forward and take us towards a bit of success. Moyes will keep us from going down and will move us up the table, but he is already leaving games dropping points that we should be taking and the way we went out of the cup was an example of how a team can come out with a plan and outsmart him.

We should be looking for someone now, who will fit his mould.

And if he becomes available, then we should look to replace at the end of the season.

Dealt with positice adversity in having a budget to rebuuld squad, seen the last game at Goodison, Firsr at BMD.

Just can not see us pushing on and becoming a European challenger with him at the helm.

Again thinking we have a squad for Europe football and premiership and blaming Moyes for not achieving it. Have you been watching us the last few years. We have been one of the worst managed clubs in football. All managers will frustrated us. They all have their flaws. At least this manager cares and knows us is a steady hand. He won a cup with West ham. Let's give him a chance to rebuild and bring us some proper players like he did last time round.

No, don't pool me with your own perceptions.

I have watched Everton for 30 years, Ive been through the Moyes era initially and again now.

The fella has a ceiling which falls far below where I think the current structure takes us. Not basing on the squad, basing on how ive seen us perform.

He won West Ham a cup, but how much did he spend to do it? For me, I don't want us to br trigger happy, i want to to be looking and finding the right man for our current model, who can be here long term and build something special.

"He cares about us", isnt what I want. I want someone who will bring us success. I'm very upbeat about our future, but I want a manager who will take us to next level.

And I scroll past a lot of what they post. Two of them I dunno why anybody would engage with them as it's pointless.

But the point is there's a lot in the third section that get jumped on with the same stuff the Davek gang get
The 3rd section does currently seem to have the majority, probably get a better picture if something goes wrong on Sunday.

A first home defeat and the 'he'll do for now' might have ran its course for many a poster..

The prize of European qualification this time compared to his first spell is that the conference league is wide open for English teams and there’s no CL teams in the Europa. If we could get ourselves in those comps regularly it’s a great opportunity to end the trophy drought.

I've been saying that recently. In that group you'll have a variation. Some closer than others to getting sick of him. I honestly think people should just accept we appointed one of the few managers where all of this was a given.

Id like to think a different face in the hotseat this season and finally the majority would only be talking about stability and patience in a new era, and making fun of the few who were kicking off at an early bad run. With Moyes that was never going to be the case. Familiarity breeds contempt and all that
