2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

It’d be good to have him and garner in the side bossing it next season - a couple of lads from within 10 miles of the ground
Seen garner linked to other teams a few times recently. Would like us to get a shift on with a new contract. I think if Rohl stays fit, he will become our main midfielder, especially considering how much we have committed to getting him permanently. I’d love it to be Armstrong as the other midfielder though.

It's incredibly hard to know what our midfield will look like next season. So many questions/likely changes:

Gana potentially out of contract, and almost certainly not starting anymore
Rohl is a wildcard, could be a starter
Armstrong could be pushing for a spot
Garner potentially moved to a sub/squad role

I'd bank on us buying a number 6 too. Going to be the most unrecognisable part of the team

He is in a poor Preston side 2- 0 down already....
I didn't watch Joey but it sounds like your boy ripped it up in the second half. It's all opinions but being involved in those sort of games probably doesn't harm his development. Character, fight and will to win can make the difference at the top level. He might not be with the best technical players but it if it makes him a strong character that never gives up it will be worth it. He seems to have the technique and the physical attributes to succeed. The first team certainly don't come back to win from 0-2 down very often.

Pretty much this. I think this is why he was sent in loan for games like this. He stood up and was counted, a totally different performance to what has been seen before. The Preston fans were very happy with him too.

Agree do think we could see tim leave but am i excited about rohl as feel have a good player in him, then with armstrong looks like he can do a few roles in midfield. Be great having a local lad come into the team

A very good 2nd half from Harrison there , one of his best in terms of involvement and he was still getting in the sliding tackles and a booking in the last 10 mins. The engine in this kid to play like that tonight after playing Tuesday was fantastic, he just wants to be involved in everything. A couple of mistakes including one misplaced pass which inevitably raised an “ Ooh” from the crowd but I’m enjoying watching these games for Preston as he played tonight much the same as he did at Derby and he’s certainly a player the crowd take too, my MoTM ……but I’m a bit biased 🙂

Armstrong will be our best centre midfielder in 18 months

There was a different side of his game today, breaking stuff up and battling. Not his usual elegant self, but still a good performance. I think the stadium announcer said he was motm.
Were most of the fans liking what they've seen of him.

Good too see him getting to grips with the other side of his game, running his ass off today.

Sounded like a great atmosphere 2nd half..
They even cheered Cannon coming on.

I must admit My brother & I & his mates followed them most games home & away just to see them & the team 1968 - the gelled - CH states they played beautiful crisp football that season probably better than 1969/70 in our championship season as the trio were split up in phases that season injury, suspension of Bally etc -

Opposition fans would be aghast at half time as we would be in front with fantastic football - they in some grounds would get clapped off by home supporters plus thousands of away traveling fans - My only joy was I witnessed it - home games it was how many will we score today etc we lost the odd game , but definitely scientific class football - not a hoof ball in sight .....

We just knew the title would come & it did ;)

Midfield is the engine room of any great team ..... Bally was world class....

ATM we need an engine room in the middle not two defensive midfielders ...
I agree with what your kid said Joey, I'm just a little bit older than you, probably the same age as your brother, the Cat's second championship team were at their best in 68-69. They were still pretty special when they won the title in 1970 though. That was the best Everton team I ever saw, I just wish the younger fan could experience it. Going I to the ground every game fully convinced that we would win...

I've just taken a look in the Preston forum on his player thread and unless @Joey66 has set up 30 multis it seems like we have quite the player on our hands. Talks of Bellingham, a nailed on England starter and not being with us long when he comes back. Excitable bunch.
Don't start off with the Comparrisons, that will cause a whole other never-ending debate..

Just watch the progress..
