Staying up despite having an 8 point deduction and still going on a 13 game streak with no wins in the league is not indicative of a good manager or the saviour of our club it is indicative of how crap the other teams were that finished below us

To then follow that with 1 win in 11 games in the league the following season and contributing to our worst ever home record in terms of wins in the clubs history in their last ever season at goodison park is simply incredible management
Just a simple 'thank you' will do for Dyche.

No one believes he was a great or good manager in football terms, but we are still in the PL because of his refusal to buckle under the weight of pressure that 99% of managers would have walked away from.

One of the reason's there'll be a full stadium for a PL fixture at all was because Dyche stuck at the task of shouldering an 11 point deduction to keep us safe.

There'd be a Championship game in front of about 25,000 people there in December when this game is scheduled to take place if he hadn't have done his job.
Wasn't it 10 points then 2 with 4 given back on appeal. Therefore, 12 given.

No, sorry.

10 points reuced to 6 but then another 2 on top later.

That's 12 points total and 8 maintained...but the point is we had two periods of concern for the playing staff to get on with and over.

The manager of the day deserves HUGE credit for getting his players through that.

He took us forward the first year, to take us back to where he took us over. Everything that seemed to move into the right direction totally collapsed.

Then why not say 17 points Dave?

That’s how many points Richard Masters originally wanted to slap us with, before he was talked down. 🤨
That's true...with all the attendant disruption and worry for players and fans.

The season from hell which Dyche guided us through.
