Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all,

I’m getting married here in 3 1/2 hours.

I’m very calm but know I’ll get emotional. It’s only a small ceremony of 12 people which is perfect for us, we do t like too much fuss.

Thought I’d share it with you guys as I spend so much time on GOT 😊

Onwards and upwards 🥂🍻
Congratulations ! It's not in Las Vegas is it ?

Sad day today folks. We've just started letting Nacho out following our holidays. He's been OK, coming in for food but mostly wanting to stay outside. Today he got run over and killed. We got a phone call from.a local vet. Somebody had seen it happens, picked him up and took him to the vet. Im so sad, I feel like I've really let him down.
I’m so sorry to hear this and although I don’t know much about cats I’m sure you did the best for him and he had been having a great life with you. Some things just can’t be avoided 💙

Good morning all on this cloudy one here .I hope all are as well as can be and had a restful night .
The update on my wife is that she is still being held captive by the medical staff as they try to find the cause ,she is speaking normally and is fully aware and back to her norm but they think she has a virus affecting her liver and have taken 13 phials of blood this morning for testing .She is climbing the walls to come home and the house is so empty without her ,I have resorted to men food ,beans on toast and cheese on ...well you have guessed ,I just don't feel like doing anything more .Hopefully when the doctor gets the results they will make a course of action and she can go home ,we will see .Have a great day all COYB
Great to hear that she is on the mend but clearly in the right place if there are issues with her liver. From personal experience I know it’s a strange place to be when you feel ok but the docs don’t agree, and from my husband’s stays in hospital I know how lonely and at a loose end you feel. I think I lived on muesli and stuff on toast. Just get through it as best you can and remember we are all thinking of you both.

Congratulations to you both pal. Get that girl of yours to play you the first dance. 🎹💃🕺🥂💙

Thanks for the Birthday wishes folks . It’s been an odd kind of birthday which has been shaped by attending the funeral of a 29 year old sadly taken very suddenly. He is the grandson of a close friend of my wife. So a very reflective day in many ways .
Quite a covering of the many aspects of life in our thread today , the good news about blue’s wife, a birthday, a wedding and a funeral . At times all life is here.

How have you both got on today blue?
Hi AT my wife had elevated measures the level of alanine aminotransferase (ALAT), an enzyme that indicates liver health. it should be under 37 but hers was 2600 .Now after vitamin B injections and monitoring it is apparently back to normal .They suspect that somewhere along her life of holidaying she has picked up hepatitis A which she no longer has .So this morning she will be blood tested again possibly injected with more Vit. B and may probably be allowed back home if not then tomorrow .
The doctor said there need be no dietary changes and no restrictions on foods ,not sure whether booze is a food yet !
If it was due to Hep A then what the trigger / damage was she hasn't been told . As always we will be wiser later .

A belated happy birthday -the post here is terribly slow .

Good morning all on this still dark day here ,I hope all are well and had a restful night. Most of my news is above but the thought of Arja getting back home has me up even earlier .For the ladies ,she has been giving me to-do lists and now I am the proud owner of a helluva shopping list to be procured on her say so after the doc's visit,so despite ill health she has still been on the ball.
Have great day all COYB

That’s good news about Arja blue, hopefully she’ll be back to normal when she’s home and they and you identify what the trigger is .

More progress made then by the medics which is good. Good luck later and hopefully you get her back home.
