Nico Paz tho
Or maybe just a twinkle around with the system, with the abundance of our midfield his stats could fly up next to certain players that all benefit each other's game in the middle of the pitch..Absolutely yeah! That's exactly the sort of thing people can forget to take into account when looking at stats (or just when watching a player even). Those stats are from the past calendar year - he was injured from mid October til mid January, so all of that data is from him under Moyes.
I like him a lot too, he can do a job in loads of positions and his 'floor' is very consistent if that makes sense, he pretty much never has a stinker. Super reliable. Every squad wants a player like that. I just really want us to upgrade on him as a nailed on starter in that central/defensive midfielder position.
Two full backs and a striker.
The fullbacks are a massive priority. That Juanlu Sanchez, RB, from Sevilla we have been linked with looks decent. Sevilla wanted Patterson before the window shut, so maybe there is a deal to be done there.
I dont think we have been linked with any LB's since Reguilon in the summer
Why? He is not getting a game ahead of any of Forests current wide players and he ain't better than Gibbs-White or McAtee for the middle.McNeil to Forest nailed on now lol

Worrying if another injuryA first choice right back will be needed and get OBrien at CB if Branthwaite isn’t going to be fit.
The lad at Birmingham (signed from Fulham) called Jay Stansfield looks a sharp, young, hungry striker who knows where the goal is. Definitely one who catches the eye as someone who could make the step up with potential to excel. Doubt we'd get him of course, or that he's even on the radar, but he seems like the kind of Championship-but-with-quality player Moyes used to love to find and was good at developing.Whilst I've no idea if any of them would be good enough, who are the best 4 or 5 strikers in the championship and would they be worth a look in January?
Never mind McNeil, old gravel gullet will have already made a bed up in his spare room for his favourite son, Michael 50p-head Keane.McNeil to Forest nailed on now lol
I'd bet we get a couple of loans in. A defender (RB or CB) and a forward. It's a world cup year, so there will be players looking for game time. I doubt we spend big in Jan.Well, any notional stuff about not shopping in January from Kinnear has to go out the window now. The loss of Branthwaite necessitates action. We can either allow it to derail our season, or mitigate the damage in January. An interesting test of the owners' ambition awaits...
