2025/26 David Moyes

There are utter mad men on here who thinks Moyes should have built a Title chasing side in 1 window.
Indeed. I think long term purchases at full back will happen in due course.

Strikers are hard to come by. Good ones at least. Unless we spend stupid money. All footballer fees are stupid money, but you know, REALLY stupid money. Then there's no guarantee either way.

This isn’t difficult, Moyes selects the players, the other two members (currently in post) of the team negotiate the fee and the wages. So you thinK Moyes refusing to work with a DOF was some strange aberration 😂😂 & he’s now deferred to some unknown members of the recruitment team. Defies all logic!

It isn’t difficult no, which makes it funny that you can’t understand it. 😂

Striker is almost always a lost cause. I think we missed a trick at RB but it's over. We have learned our lesson with this experiment. Definitely need to be looking in that direction.

Also spent more on forwards in one summer than Moyes has probably spent on them in his career.
Glasner and Espírito Santo have also gone to Anfield in the last few years and won. Worst manager Man United have had in modern history, only just won back to back league games. Moyes has been in the game about 30 years, the fact he hasn't even fluked a win there is laughable.

I don’t think that’s true. Moyes in his first stint would start slowly then whether through design or accident would end up with a team that clicked. Playing Cahill or Fellaini as false nines for example.

You can’t help but think having Garner at RB, maybe even JB at left back would give the back line more forward thrust and athleticism to support the whole team.

Alcaraz as false 9 is intriguing. Eager to see more of Rohl too.
Like I said barring injury, Cahill was a number 10 for 90% of his Everton career and fellaini was a centre mid for the majority. The season he went as a 10 and false 9 at times and Cahill as a false 9, was the season we had no strikers, it wasn’t a master stroke

Oh I know mate. But Moyes left for 12 years and we didn’t win away in front of fans at any of those grounds then either.

Moyes had a poor record with strikers and pace, especially at Everton. Until we bought mirallas in 2012 his last season we hardly had any pace on the wings in 10yrs under Moyes. Kilbaine, McFadden, osman, arteta, pienaar. Anichebe played wide at times, Van der meyde. Probably the only one was Donovan on loan

Think I'd rather have Jason Donovan up top than Beto or Barry tbf...

Moyes even mentioned goal difference in his presser after the game,
That is small time mentality and utterly embarrassing, that explains brining on a midfielder to
Play on the wing at 2-0. Keep it at 2-0 boys
Could make all the difference from
13th to 12th
