Admittedly I didn't see it at first with him, regardless when he signed that previous new deal at the height of our relegation worries he gave us a massive boost. One of us.

Full credit to Pickford he's always an extraordinary shot stopper but was impetuous at times with decision making like most young players and he's evolved significantly as a player and purged the occasional howlers that he used to make earlier in his career. Pickford has also displayed an emotional maturity that is truly commendable, he doesn't seem psychologically affected by certain matches such as Newcastle anymore which is testament to his ability to utilize his experiences to make him a better player

For whatever reason he's been doing comms on a lot of the streams I was watching over the years. Don't remember him ing on us like some. Just seems like a traditional, old school commentator.

It is absolutely mental that we've had a world class keeper at the club for the past few years. Given where we've been as a team, it really cannot be repeated enough.

There are a few players who I think individually kept us in the league and maybe even in existence as a club. Richarlison is one. But I think Pickford tops the lot.
