2025/26 David Moyes

You value getting mid-table or slightly higher than a cup win and mastering the age old enemy?

Interesting preference.

Very interesting, can you tell us why you have that preference?

We mustn’t be a major club. Unsurprising then that Dave supported Benitez who thinks we are a small club,

I didn't. I just saw the mess this club was in and knew we needed a united front to get us through it...while you and others were determined to destabilise the situation further and risk our PL existence...

You talk about destabilisation.

Benitez was well on his way to destroying the club from within, the fans were in open revolt against him, yet you were stuck so far up his behind, you could see your knob tickling his tonsils

We will never forget.

I do wonder if @GrandOldTeam has a formula for when Dave embark on one of his thread dominating campaigns, such as this one against Moyes. One that determines the tipping point for a thread ban. Like so:

Dave is impervious to criticism, it’s quite an incredible suit of armour. I’m impressed.

I value regular and consistent qualification for Europe yes which Moyes achieved in his first spell. Interesting that you think 2 matches a season is more important than the clubs being a consistent top 7 side as we were under Moyes so not a mid-table team. It's the same metric I'll be judging Moyes on again and not how we do against that lot
4 x in 11 seasons.

Depends on your definition of consistent, I suppose.

All of those times we were making up the numbers. Trophies equal success, everything else is just accountancy.
I disagree. Success can also be setting a goal and achieving it. A successful season this year might be finishing top 8 given where we were. Only a few teams win trophies each season. Have all the other clubs and fans wasted their time that season? That's an odd way to look at it. Why do people keep going to league matches even though we have zero chance of winning the league?
