2025/26 David Moyes

Fair enough, I thought the agenda comment was just silly but was not yours.

I don't think necessarily I would see it as a wild take either, I just think you'd very much be in the minority and got the sense you were talking like "this is how any reasonable fan" should see it. Might just be my reading of it tho
No, I think I'm being logical (possibly overly logical, but that would be my raging 'tsim), but I accept that people are going to have more nuanced ideas of what progress constitutes than I would.

Maybe but for many football is more than just wins, goals and points. Otherwise a lucky 1-0 win against Fulham at home after a crap performance would be just the same as a 1-0 away win to the RS playing them off the park. I don't expect Moyes to give us any of those big moments. Hopefully he surprises me in whatever time he ends up getting with us

It's as if people have been ground down by 30 years' of failure, and forget what happened before.
😂We used to be one of the richest and most prestigious teams in the country. We used to be able to sign the absolute top players like Dean, Lawton, Kay, Ball, Latchford, Dobson, Lineker etc. Those days are long gone and are never coming back. It's pointless and counter productive to refer to them or to use them as a stick to beat the current management with. It's like harking after the days of empire. Being deluded won't make us into a more successful football club.

Which other manager since Moyes gave us all these amazing wins again at the top 4?

I'm not 'harking' back. If you don't think we should aspire to be successful once more, and are content with the status quo, fair enough.

I think it's ridiculous to have champions league aspirations or expectations with a bottom half budget. It's embarrassing and deluded and potentially extremely destructive because we will get rid of people doing a good job in the mistaken belief that a unicorn exists who will overcome several levels of football economics.

Who mentioned Champions League, I certainly didn't. The conversation was about trying to win against top sides, building confidence in the team and going from there. If you don't have expectations to improve, gradually in our case, what's the bloody point ?

Have we not improved considerably under Moyes?

It's all relative. Let's see how we fare going up to Christmas, some tough games in prospect, let's see if we can compete.

Home games up to Arsenal at Christmas are a real good opportunity to keep the momentum going at Bramley Moore. If we could remain unbeaten in those and nick Sunderland or United away we’d be in decent shape.

It's exactly what's happened but those that were living in the headier days need to munch a couple of edibles and realize you don't need to be 24/7 superblue to get a point across, instead of hiding behind NSNO. And the cowardice of:
