January Transfer Window 2026

Agreed, but the other 2 positions should priority over that in the January window, I think.
You are only as strong as your bench.

Goalkeeper is the most important position if you are the manager.

Look at older squad players and contract the ones you can't easily replace.

Additions if any should be in at the moment the window opens and others out on loan / sold, at the end of it.

Alcaraz made a difference coming in last January window and freshened the team up.

The Kalvin Phillips thing just seems odd to me. Yes Moyes likes his players with PL experience for sure and he does like to turn a drifting player around but this just looks wild

The Philips at Leeds before he went to City, was 100% a Moyes player.

The player he`s become at City ( when he plays ) is 100% not a Moyes player - half arsed, off the pace and may as well not be on then pitch.

However, as we`ve seen with the likes of Arteta and Pineaar, Moyes does like a previously talented player that`s fallen by the wayside.

The only thing with Philips, is he just looks like he`s already retired from footy in his head and is just running his contract down, ready to sail off into the sunset and retire for good.

If we wanted Phillips, we’d have got him in the summer.
Plus, Moyes got him at West Ham and soon realised he’s finished.

Moyes took him to West Ham for a 6 month loan, cost them 7mil and he was a disaster. Moyes would be an idiot If he went back
