When I used to go visit my grandad in his dementia care ward and you’d see some of the other patients, who weren’t meant to be out, roaming the halls later in the evening. That’s basically what happens when Joey is let loose in the Armstrong thread.

Dementia is an awful thing to mock - my 94 year old true blue uncle is dying with it ATM in a home - you got one thing correct in bold a mistake to sell him -

Best start to a season in 5 years after having a single summer to replace essentially half a playing squad who left over the summer.

The way people always go on about the clubs that players go on loan to is so so weird, like there's some secret formula to picking the right one that only they've cracked.

Preston fans seem to be both happy with him and also of the opinion that he’s going to be PL quality

Next season is going to be huge for him and we have to get it right

I bet they are - a lot of Evertonians would be glad of him too - you are deluding yourself after robbing Palace 3 points was nice but it was so lucky - lets see where we are at the end of the season hey ....

Yeah this isn’t it @Nymzee - cheap pop, if your grandad was on a dementia ward you should know better.

I think Armstrong absolutely should be out on loan and this one will be fantastic long term for his development. Looks a real talent and needs the games.

If I swapped ‘dementia ward’ for ‘old folks home’ you wouldn’t bat an eye lid. All I’m saying is Joey has been let loose by his carers at night and causing chaos in this thread.

But agreed, Armstrong loan was needed.

Believe the idea was more box to box as Moyes would like. Derby had him deeper.
