2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Just hope that the club has a plan for him and what type or mid they see him as, does look like has talent . Just dont want see another price situation leaves because no plan.
They better do, the lads definitely got the talent.

Did I want to see him even go out on loan at first, No, but the speed that players get shut down in this place it's probably better he has ( if just for my own sanity )

Watching how preston play, I think we should have looked more into the club we were sending him to, their style is not Armstrong's style..

I hope we're keeping a close enough eye on his situation so if a decision needs to be made in January than we can do it..

I wanted him to go out on loan becuase wanted him getting more first team games. Get more experience playing and to understand his position more, as feel can come back next season and be around the first team hopefuly

Our squad will be short when the AFCON starts did DM look that far ahead - he would not know a good full back if one bit him either - way back in June we needed TWO full backs ....?

DM days will be numbered - the new owners will look at the funds he has wasted .... I just cant believe he let Harrison go out on loan & go back to 2 keepers on the bench at home .....
He might get brought back in January, for that simple reason..

I'm sure Moyes will have some kind of future gameplan with the lad, he just isn't coming out telling everyone.

He shows the talent, Moyes will stand his ground on keeping him.

I think it'll be good for him to play Preston style, Footballers need to learn as many different ways to play at a young age, I dont want him turning out like mcneil nor do I want him to be a psr sale.

From what I've seen of him I think he will become a very good player for us

I cant believe you want him sitting on the bench rather than playing and improving every week.

But then you never were the brightest.

Best start to a season in 5 years after having a single summer to replace essentially half a playing squad who left over the summer.

But yeah, money wasted.

I disagree with your “ their style is not Armstrong’s style” . Preston, like a number of Championship clubs, play 3 at the back with 2 wing backs , 3 in the middle plus 1 behind/alongside the striker, that leaves a lot of potential for him . We know he can play deep where Whiteman plays, he can also play in the other two midfield positions, plus I’ve watched him play further forward and score a hattrick for our u18s, although not his natural position. For England youth he often has a license to roam forward , go outwide, appear in the box , score goals whatever.

In short I wouldn’t pidgeon -hole him into one style he’s developing in many areas, not least his football intelligence . PNE are fine for me, they appear to have a stable manager as often the biggest risk in a Championship loan is a change of manager leaving a player no longer fitting in eg Kieron Dowell at Forest.

The way people always go on about the clubs that players go on loan to is so so weird, like there's some secret formula to picking the right one that only they've cracked.
Does it happen alot then!!

I'm asking that cos i don't know..

I've mentioned a club around Armstrong's move, but thats only cos ive watched the games. Armstrong is a stand out player so your going to take note of where he's gone.

I cant say ive seen a lot of talk around certain clubs possibly looking right or wrong with the amount of people that go out on loan.

Yep, it happens all the time.
