January Transfer Window 2026

I went to a Sporting Lisbon game a couple of weeks back, the defender Zeno Debast was a standout. Great positioning, very confortable on the ball, would be a great long term replacement for Tarks.

My son reckons he is destined for Real or Barca though, so may be unnatainable?

Belgian international and part of the recent wave of CBs coming through there e.g Koni De Winter.

Quite a well known player now.

Utterly rancid rumour about Dithering Dave being interested in Kalvin Phillips as an eventual replacement for Gueye.
Loan to buy in January £10M-£12M as City want him off the books.
Wouldn’t consider him if City were paying us that amount to take him. Utterly finished as a player.
Can’t loan two players from one club.

Based on how he performed at West Ham, can’t see it.

You both should apply for scouting positions. Do you live in Portugal. For some reason I thought you were in Australia with WA in your name. No idea why. I didn't give it much thought if I'm honest

What happened to him? Did Moyes take him on loan at West ham?

Would convert Jack to a permanent if it came to it.

He’s no Fred, that is for sure.
Nah, enjoy Grealish whilst he is here but there is no plausible way of making that permanent that would make any kind of financial sense, certainly not for a player of that age. City are never going to agree to the type of fee that we need which would have to be like £20m at the absolute tops, probably less, and he would need to take a massive wage cut to fit in with the new regime which will be much tighter on stuff like that imo.

Think so, was barely fit enough to play, and when he did he was shocking.
Moyes obviously likes him. Perhaps he thinks Phillips is in a better place physically and mentally?
As long as that place isn’t the Dicky Hill I couldn’t care less.

B
He must know how bad he is in that case. I'd be surprised if this is true. He fell off a cliff as bad as Dele Ali

City certainly wont be selling him for 20m in Jan, but then Summer maybe.........
