2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Not sure i agree Joey. Look at today - we had Charlie and Tim both very good players sitting on the bench. Game time is good for the kid at his age. My point is to lesson expectations when he's still playing in the proverbial pub league
Grealish was playing in the proverbial pub league, Bellingham, kane, Eze, Wharton, Mount, Pickford, KDH, Stones, Branthwaite (Even lower)

I could carry on and carry on, look at the premier league and how many of those players played there, not suggesting any comparisons between players, but using the term 'proverbial pub league' doesn't really hold up to much..

Of course loads of players started there. My point being its a world apart and direct comparisons are dangerous.

It's the Championship. Lots of extremely average premier league players absolutely dominate at that level. Having a good game in the championship does not make you pure class.
It’s the championship, an absolutely solid league for a 18 year old to learn his craft with less pressure, what’s not to like about that? I get it’s not the premier league and levels to everything but non the less, has the physicality, competitiveness and very good level of players he’s not above playing a season in the championship especially at 18.

Plus, if he can be boss at Championship level and average in the Prem currently, at 18, we should be happy with that as the only way should be up really.

Watch Harrison Armstrongs next game for Preston - what a waste loaning him there ....
No Joey, it wasn't.
The kid is playing proper footy every week in a proper league. He wouldnt be getting the minutes he is at Everton. He's not ready.
I've been watching him at Preston too. Ticking along lovely, learning with every game. Boy will come home a man.

I watched a large part of the Preston game & he was brilliant - when the AFCON comes he will be needed .... he could have learnt so much off Grealish this season ... he can play the no 10 role & the defensive midfield roll never wasted a pass ....

the other lot would never send him out on ,loan = fact .....

He was very good, I agree with this 100%.
However he ain't ready for the weekly grind of the Prem, not yet. He is learning football the proper way. I'm happy to watch him learn his trade at Preston playing real footy in a less brutal league, and fan base, than I would be listening to clueless knobheads destroying the kid for a misplaced pass against Leeds at home.

The kid is doing great where he is so far. Let him spread his wings up the road for a season. No need to rush him.

We have a 36 year old in midfield - he could have played a part this season IMO - England's under 19s Captain ? not every game but played a part at the correct level ....

Joey, I ain't gonna go round in circles with you all night.
The kid ain't ready for the Prem, week in week out.
Not yet. Maybe not even at the end of this season but he's getting there.
I watch him regularly, the lad is in a great place to be learning his trade and he's doing great. A☆

No - not week in week out - but could have been used plus experience around the first team a great experience plus his training etc...

Joey, meds then bed.
Our fans would destroy him within 3 months, like many before him.
They would expect prime Iniesta, Xavi and Busquets rolled into one 19yr old kid.
You know how it goes here Joey, don't be naive.
He's in the perfect place to be learning his craft.

Couldn't give a flying one what they do
