Those were the Days Everton version

Talking of old songs . I had a mate , bit of an old school Everton legend , and he was always singing Goodison Gang . This is about 20 years ago and Nobody else was anywhere near that song then but he’d always belt it out on trains on boozers anywhere .

He’s not here any more but pretty much every time I hear it whether at goodison or now BMD I think about him .

Sorry wrong thread im sure but felt like sharing

This was at the time when it must have been a nightmare for away fans..especially in the fa cup games when some would actually dare coming to goodison....being chased down scottie road by literally over a thousand everton skinheads 🤣🤣

Those were the days my friend...

Goodish Gang was sung a fair bit outside the ground since the 90s. Had quite a few airings on the Gwladys St too 10 to 15 years ago before it took off again.

Re Those were the days, there's about half a dozen versions of the second half of the song. I think the one the OP is looking for ends with "......we'd fight and never lose, we are the Street End Blues, we are the Street of Everton FC".

Does anyone remember of a player song for Neville Southall other than "Wales Number One"?
