Those were the Days Everton version

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd fight the drop forever and a day
But now we're looking up
Instead of f......g up
These are our days, oh yes these are our days.

A bit off topic I know, but I don't have any pleasant memories of the skinhead era

Goodish Gang was sung a fair bit outside the ground since the 90s. Had quite a few airings on the Gwladys St too 10 to 15 years ago before it took off again.

Re Those were the days, there's about half a dozen versions of the second half of the song. I think the one the OP is looking for ends with "......we'd fight and never lose, we are the Street End Blues, we are the Street of Everton FC".

Does anyone remember of a player song for Neville Southall other than "Wales Number One"?
I appreciate your memory but I never heard it in the ground before he passed and I’m pretty strong at that recollection that was as I said quite some time ago when we lost him .

I went everywhere back then and I couldn’t say i never heard it in boozers because I did and that’s as that reprobate would start it off.

Anyway its just a nice memory of a proper Evertonian whose passed , if you’re right and I’m wrong well my apologies for getting misty eyed.

It was sung loads on Brenda's coaches to the aways in the 90s, and since then it was started off a few times over the years in the Gwladys St and you'd get a few joining in. So unless you were at the back of GT4 then no you wouldn't have heard it. Even the loud songs didn't travel much beyond GT4.

"Come on you mighty blues,
Come on you mighty blues,
Come on you blues,
Come on you mighty blues,
Come on you mighty blues,
Come on you mighty blues,
We are the blues, of Everton FC"

^^^ as I remember it...
Ahh, the late 70's early 80's, I can just picture you launching a bog roll onto the pitch in protest at the ref. or something 🧻🧻🧻🍊🎃🍊

I remember the Manfred Man hit single - the mighty Quinn -

Come on without - Come out within -

You will not see anything like the mighty EVERTON
Repeatedly chanted

Jim Reeves distant drums is unprintable -
Ejected from the ground if you chanted that now :D

Had some fantastic away days in the 80/90’s singing this on trains into London, away days and after the game in the Carisbrooke. That place was on fire an hour after the game all singing some of the old classics and half cut, win, lose or draw.

The Carisbrooke and The Tramways. From boy to man these were our pre game pubs. Good times
