2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

I watched it too, thought he was ok. One of the problems is the wing backs just crossed the ball into the box at every opportunity, Harrison was playing left side of Centre midfield , so was linking With wing back a lot and his movement was good getting into some good positions edge of the box, but the wing back would just cross it. Same with small on the other side. Harrison also made some intelligent runs forward. But didn’t get found. The fact the Preston mananger made 4 subs and kept him on, he obviously thought he was ok.
He looks so comfortable on the ball and uses it very well. Put in a couple of strong challenges the fans enjoyed. As you say they're very direct, but he was nearly always available and what I liked is he c wasn't shy of giving his teammates what for if they didn't do the right thing. A very mature performance for an 18 yr old.

That is interesting

Man of the match apparently
That’s fans voting, you don’t even have to be registered to give a score to a player, given that it wasn’t televised properly and Preston were at home I’d take that with a pinch of salt, lots of our fans voting without watching I assume.

It’s on flashscore

Small MOTM on other platforms too

Vukcevic was the official MOTM

I do think if Harrison makes it in this league, he will solve the no. 10 problem we have had for ages. He consistently is creative and makes good use of his movement (like KDH) in that manner. It will be a matter of if he can learn to get himself more involved in league games and deal with the physicality of this level. When I have seen him for us he is the threader that KDH is not. I know he has played deep at youth for a bit but I think that is precisely what will help him improve his impact in games and prepare him to take that role behind the striker. All if he makes it of course.

I think he's more box to box then a 10
