2025/26 David Moyes

West Ham get Nuno in and look a million times better straight off the bat.

Wasn't it down to the size of his entourage that Moshiri walked away from a deal for him here?

FFS.

Moyes came in and we looked a million times better than under your Brexit loving idol, Dyche.

So let’s not jump that gun as part of your very predictable Moyes piley on.

Curtis....in the words of Bill Kenwright

"It's terrible but it's Everton"

In Moyes's head it's all about consolidation this season, people might not want we hear it but for a club that's been on life support for so long that's the reality.

All this being said I still think a semi competent forward is a game changer for us.

The crazy thing is, that despite multiple managers since Lukaku left, inc the all time great Ancelotti, we haven’t had a decent centre forward.

I think people are putting way too much emphasis on obtaining a new center forward, the way Moyes has been playing has completely nullified the striker position, I get that Beto and Barry are limited but we're not doing anything to actually involve them especially Barry. So what would change if we get a better striker unless if he was like Lukaku who could just make opportunities on his own. Nobody even tried to pass the ball to Barry, was he supposed to make a recovery and just create something on his own? Last season moyes for a series of games actually tried to play to Beto's strengths that's not happening

League cup exit 100% on him. Last night can't really blame him for no fire power and bad on pitch decisions by seasoned professionals. We went 1 nil up players switched off WTF go for the jugular and finish it.

unless a very fortunate situation unfolds like us with getting Lukaku on loan which lead to us sealing a perm transfer for a very reasonable price or spurs developing Harry Kane from their academy most upper tier strikers are at least 45 million now

Sacking him at this point would be absurd but Im very irked by his obstinate and negative tactics disguised as pragmatism. The attack has improved over last season somewhat , but we still can't unlock teams when they sit back and I know people feel our strikers options are insufficient but we're not even playing them in , there's no clear tactics to actually provide the ball to the striker. Unless we can buy a striker who can create chances solely on his own ,which typically exists in a price range we've never been in before , we need to reconfigure our attacking approach further

Can't sack him now. But the summer is the time to shake hands.

18 months of him keeping us up and getting us through the stadium move.

It would make perfect sense

...or Beto - I was actually wondering last night how much that's down to the manager, and how much down to the players knowing that's not what they want to do if they want us to retain the ball...

We need to shift from the 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3. A slight tactical tweak but one where we can help the fullbacks out more with the midfielders in both attack and defence. Give JOB more defensive cover from Garner in RCM and let KDH have more licence to attack on the left with Grealish as they have a good relationship. It will help a lot I think as the congestion in the middle at the moment is numbing down so much.

It`s Moyes`s job to keep them switched on, and if the game is not going our way to come up with a way to change it. Last night Wham were getting back into the game as the first half went on, the second half continued to show Wham getting on top, but I can`t remember much of a change in our approach at any time during the game. Took off a CF, put on a CF, took off his right sided midfielder, put on a right sided midfielder.
Moyes seems to have one way of playing that can get results, but can also fall really flat, which is what we saw last night, and in the cup.

Not sure Gana has the discipline, physicality and passing needed to be the CM fulcrum and orchestrate the side around him and boss the centre circle.

You can blame him for starting Beto again who’s been atrocious nearly every game this season and you can blame him for the lack of subs and trying to alter the flow of the game after their goal
