2025/26 David Moyes

You can blame him for starting Beto again who’s been atrocious nearly every game this season and you can blame him for the lack of subs and trying to alter the flow of the game after their goal
WE should have been 2 3 up in the 1st half. Our bench was not going to set the world a light either. Bearing in my mind that bench got a lesson from wolves.

You can't go from 100mph to literally nothing because of a manager is all im saying.

I know, but when those two options dried up we should have still pushed to try and find another.
Same issue as RB, the options simply weren't there. Had we sold some of Doucoure, Cal-Lewin, Holgate, maybe token fee's the keepers, we'd have had a bit more wiggle room to push the boat out. We were on life support last season with loans for Mangala, Harrison, Lindstrom, Broja, and a contract for 40 year old regular starter Ashley (forever) Young. We've got to say money for maupay and Chermiti was miraculous.

He’s also still pushing his Iraola agenda, the super manager who’s side, although 3 points ahead, have scored one goal more than ‘Dithering’ Davey and conceded one goal more than a defence that has had a centre back at right back and, for a couple games a centre mid at left back
I just don’t think we can keep saying O’Brien is a centre half playing right back. In our eyes he is but virtually every game he’s played at this level is at right back and Moyes clearly sees him as one. Also to be fair to Iraola he’s had to replace pretty much his entire backline in one summer so he’s actually got a fair bit more mitigation than us.

Stop sticking up for another bang average manager in the dugout
We’ve seen last nights game under Moyes a 100 times, 1-0 and then the opposition start to get on top and he does nothing. We have a 100mil of players on the bench, Alacraz was good at times last season.
Maybe change formation, move players around. We all know West Ham were going tk score.

And 2/3 up, really. KDH had a header he should have got on target and a few half chances early 2nd half. This is a West Ham team struggling for confidence and over the 90 mins they were the better team.

We all know O’Brien and Myko will be the full backs v Palace. If he does change he will probably ply Coleman at RB, which would be another car crash.
Let’s see who he plays in the 10 role with KDH out. It won’t be Dibling or Alcaraz, or play dibling wide and move ndaiye or Grealish to the 10 Roll.
No it will be Tim or Rhol, basically a midfielder. Moyes is always more concerned with the opposition.

For this season we needed a manager where finally a high % of the fan base would have patience and let them get through a couple of transfer windows and seasons to build something.

We stuck with Moyes where we are guaranteed to get almost the opposite of that because of the familiarity and the contempt already bred.

It's just a frustrating continuation of old Everton decisions. I hope we see something new from the owners in the summer

I get the sense even from the posts defending Moyes that their hearts not in it, they know it's not going to work to any great extent. He is here for a bit and will keep us away from relegation and be on his way. Id advise not losing your heads over him too much.

ASAP is going to be January, but I can't see both being resolved. Buying a striker in January is never easy, but I'd hope we are doing some homework on both the RB and CF options in the meantime ready to pounce when the transfer window opens.
We need a left back as well, basically a waste having a talent like Grealish and having Myko behind him

….Alcaraz seems a bit of a one-trick pony, he’s terrific at transitioning. He’ll run direct at the opposition and he can be trusted to pick the right pass at the right time.

Problem is, when you have a team under the cosh as we did for the first 20mins of that 2nd half, they sit in and Alcaraz is ineffective in that situation. I’d be thinking Moyes wants more from him than he’s showing in games, hence he’s down the pecking order.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he looks more effective in away games. He was unlikely to replace KDH last night, he was linking very well with Grealish and looked our most likely source of a goal. I wouldn’t be critical of the substitutions, they seemed fairly obvious to me. We are suffering from not having an effective central striker.
Yes, but West Ham came out last 30 minutes and made that an open game...exactly the type of game he can operate in.

Moyes didn't see that. That's a huge worry. He sat fixed to his seat.

This - what manager signs Grealish on a temporary loan and then doesn't sign a first team left back who can overlap and attack. It's literally mind boggling when Grealish is double teamed every match and we haven't got a decent attacking left back. Same goes with Ndiaye on the other side but the situation with Grealish is worse because we are paying big money for him for 1 season.
