2025/26 David Moyes

‘The mob’ were demanding better than 17 points from 19 games that Dyche had delivered. And a team that looked vaguely capable of scoring a goal from open play. You were inexplicably still defending him at that point.

The mob wanted him out before a ball was kicked because he didn’t start Roman Dixon v Brighton. Roman Dixon.

Wild expectations? Christ you’re a weird fruit. I was literally holding the fort for Dyche against a mob demanding he ‘pushed on’ from 48 points, but I now have wild expectations for saying the Friedkins probably want Europe in 2 seasons time?

The board game has completely changed in case you haven’t noticed. The club is unrecognisable to what it was under Moshiri. These owners will want to push on, nothing would make me happier than seeing Moyes get his hands on a trophy with us, he deserves it for what he did his first spell here, I’d love to see him take us back into Europe as well. The reality is though if he doesn’t he’ll be gone. Surely you realise this, these owners sacked a Roma legend after 4 games, nothing is beyond them.
Is this how you support your manager? On the field the club is very similar to under Moshiri. We're one or two injuries away from a battling side as shown by the players who failed to show up in the cup run. Our striking options look dire and we have no full backs still. Moyes got us to midtable last season despite people like you saying no manager could do any better than your Seany. Give him a bit of backing instead of using the new owner's "expectations" as a disguise for what you want.

Here it is if you want to see it and make your own judgement.

Fwiw so don’t think it entirely seeing what people wanted to see

I like Moyes and don't particularly like press conferences, but having watched it now, most of it wasn't any different then what I would expect. But I will say when it came to the cup, he didn't just close the door on the question, he slammed it shut, which i can see where people are coming from..

I dont know the bloke and am not just trying to back him up, but I reckon that was a response from a person that is more pee'd off with himself and the performance then he wants to let on...

If he had opened up to that question, maybe he wouldn't have been able to control what came out his mouth..

Utterly laughable. The squad has just had over 100 million invested In it. We have players like Dibling Alcaraz Rohl Barry on the bench. If it’s ’very similar’ to last season then we’ve just thrown 100 mill down the drain.

What do you consider a par performance for Moyes? I’d say it’s top half this season, hopefully mid 50 points wise, the season after would be good to be in the 60s and in Europe.

The owners are no longer massive Texans?

Progress I suppose.

New era? Well theres certainly a lot to be excited about, but im a realist, I never really expected us to come from circling the drain to challenging City or Big Red after a season.

As I said the other day, this is perfect feeding ground for you, feast away.

West Ham next, anything less than 3 points and the pressure will start to mount and I dont mean from the crazies on here, like YOU!
I do enjoy how Dave is now facing predicament on which agenda to pursue thus having to sacrifice his grudge towards the Friedkins so he use them to heap scrutiny on Moyes 😂

We've bought players like Dibling, Rohl and Barry on the hope they markedly improve due to their current age, they're an investment. Alcaraz we already had, and Moyes got a tune out of him last year. We certainly haven't thrown it down the drain, they're just not proven premier league performers yet.

Top half would be an achievement for me, between 8th and 15th is a lottery though isn't it, usually only 5-6 points separating the entirety of the midtable. I would look more for growth in player development and more investing in key areas than league position as success this season provided of course we sit close to Europe spots.

I don't believe Moyes is a manager to win us stuff, maybe that's why I'm not as furious about the Wolves match as others. I want him to build us into a position where we can look for a top 6 manager, which he is currently doing. He has a glass ceiling, and we shouldn't be afraid of breaking that once he gets us there.

Dave was pretty upset when Moyes loaned him out too. Bonus points for wedging Patterson being crap in there as well.

A magical faery of a player, a cornerstone of doubters attacks on managers!

WTF are we loaning a lad like Roman Dixon out to a League One club when he's umpteen times better than Patterson?

Moyes has always had a terrible record loaning players out who are ready to step up.

But doing it to keep that useless get Patterson in the team takes the 'kin biscuit.
