2025/26 David Moyes

HAHAHAHAH, you are talking about a fanbase that let Kenwright exist for 30+ years while we won nada.

Ive seen eels with more spine than this fanbase.

We are in a new era mate.

If you dont see that then I cant help you...

World class stadium, owners flashing the cash, decent squad at last.

If that divvy cant be inspired by that and still wants Everton to be a pathetic also ran it's time he GTF back to Scotland.

They still going? Same people that defended Dyche to the hilt for worse now doing the opposite? I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.
IT was always gonna happen, a huge portion of this fanbase never and will never forgive Moyes for leaving to United, the way he flapped his gums when at United and thats fine, its up to them, he was a massive bellend.

But what we are seeing are many axes being ground.

Im honestly NEA, sack him or dont, I thought he did a cracking job last season, but hes put massive pressure on himself and as above, some people were just waiting for anything to jump on.

Football is a results game and you are only ever as good as your last result, but some of it, as you point out, is just a bit unhinged.

The club has changed anyway. There’ll be targets. If Moyes hits them he’ll stay, if he doesn’t they’ll get someone else. It’s what they’ve done at Roma. It takes the emotion out of it. The days of Kenwright giving Moyes a free pass are over, and the days of Moshiri not being able to afford to fire Dyche are also over. There are a lot of good mangers who would now very much want to come here (as opposed to where we were pre takeover). It’s the fist time in Moyes’s career apart from at United where he’ll have a performance target to hit to keep his job that isn’t just keeping a team in the league.

The owners are no longer massive Texans?

Progress I suppose.

New era? Well theres certainly a lot to be excited about, but im a realist, I never really expected us to come from circling the drain to challenging City or Big Red after a season.

As I said the other day, this is perfect feeding ground for you, feast away.

West Ham next, anything less than 3 points and the pressure will start to mount and I dont mean from the crazies on here, like YOU!

it was an embarrasingly almost sexist response and said more about him than her.
Almost sexist:lol:
Are you serious, he was nothing but polite with her until she mentioned the forwards and I'm sure he would have answered a man in the exact same way. She was right and he knew they haven't started well but sexist FFS.
Give your head a wobble

The rewriting of people's views and opinions and facts on our previous managers and the situation the club has been in makes this thread unreadable.

We literally had people posting ‘no excuses Sean’ before every game.

A multi billion pound takeover later, a new stadium, 100 million invested in the team, Grealish Ndiaye Dibling Dewsbury Hall in attack and suddenly excuses now seem to be ok?

Some of you people have not taken defeat well.
I admit to that!

But it is more the manner of the defeat that has cheesed me off than the loss itself.

I wasn’t that upset about the Liverpool defeat, although we started a bit timid thought we gave it a pretty decent go especially in the 2nd half and on another day could have got something.

Wolves it just seemed like he couldn’t be bothered and now seems a bit annoyed that any dare care.

I don’t think it’s healthy to dwell so heavily on a league cup exit in the way some are doing.

Yes we were poor, yes we should’ve had a stronger side out but we didn’t so let’s move on to the next game.

Looking back at every defeat with diarrhoea-brown tinted specs isn’t healthy or productive in my opinion.

No comment on if the players could or couldn’t be bothered? Moyes can’t score the goals 😂 it’s ultimately the players that didn’t do the job they’re more than capable of doing.

Thought you backed every Everton manager through thick and thin.

Where am I not backing him? I’m just pointing out the reality, same as I did with Dyche. The reality was Dyche was going to remain in situ until the takeover because Moshiri couldn’t afford to sack him. As soon as the takeover was complete Dyche was either going imminently or at the end of his contract. The reality here is that Kinnear and the Friedkins most likely have targets for Moyes this season (top ten probably) and next season (Europe). If he hits them he gets a new deal, if he doesn’t he’s probably out. I hope he does hit them because it means Everton is in Europe which I want. I can point out that losing a derby and going out the cup in a week is a bad beat without it meaning I don’t back the manager. I backed Moyes for 11 years in his first spell ffs.

Oh they certainly didn’t do themselves any favors!

But I think the manager sets the tone - if he doesn’t look like he is rating it highly then it is likely to influence them too, even if subconsciously.

And so many changes, which were all over the pitch, makes it difficult to perform at your best - Barry for instance is likely to do better with Grealish sending balls his way than McNeil. Not saying he set them up to fail but that many changes are not a great platform for succeeding either.
