2025/26 David Moyes

Haven't seen the presser so can't comment on it..

Was it really that bad, or was it more people seeing what they wanted to see..

Do pressers ever really give people an answer they want to hear..

Here it is if you want to see it and make your own judgement.

Fwiw so don’t think it entirely seeing what people wanted to see
I'm very much Team "Okay with rotation Tuesday" but he was extremely prickly this presser. Maybe had a bit of a telling off from above? Definitely the most defensive I've seen him since his return.

Where am I not backing him? I’m just pointing out the reality, same as I did with Dyche. The reality was Dyche was going to remain in situ until the takeover because Moshiri couldn’t afford to sack him. As soon as the takeover was complete Dyche was either going imminently or at the end of his contract. The reality here is that Kinnear and the Friedkins most likely have targets for Moyes this season (top ten probably) and next season (Europe). If he hits them he gets a new deal, if he doesn’t he’s probably out. I hope he does hit them because it means Everton is in Europe which I want. I can point out that losing a derby and going out the cup in a week is a bad beat without it meaning I don’t back the manager. I backed Moyes for 11 years in his first spell ffs.
You keep convincing yourself that.

Almost sexist:lol:
Are you serious, he was nothing but polite with her until she mentioned the forwards and I'm sure he would have answered a man in the exact same way. She was right and he knew they haven't started well but sexist FFS.
Give your head a wobble
Must be exhausting for the offended-by-everything brigade to spend all day looking for things to be outraged about on other people's behalf. Perhaps it's like Cafe Nero where you get your social justice warrior card stamped each time?!?

that is your opinion and I respect your right to express it. I don't agree, I am not so sure he would have treated a man the same.

Its not their wild expectations that are the issue, its yours.

Wild expectations? Christ you’re a weird fruit. I was literally holding the fort for Dyche against a mob demanding he ‘pushed on’ from 48 points, but I now have wild expectations for saying the Friedkins probably want Europe in 2 seasons time?

The board game has completely changed in case you haven’t noticed. The club is unrecognisable to what it was under Moshiri. These owners will want to push on, nothing would make me happier than seeing Moyes get his hands on a trophy with us, he deserves it for what he did his first spell here, I’d love to see him take us back into Europe as well. The reality is though if he doesn’t he’ll be gone. Surely you realise this, these owners sacked a Roma legend after 4 games, nothing is beyond them.

‘The mob’ were demanding better than 17 points from 19 games that Dyche had delivered. And a team that looked vaguely capable of scoring a goal from open play. You were inexplicably still defending him at that point.
