I don’t get why people are that bothered. The League Cup is an anachronism in the modern game. It’s the FA Cup that matters.

I get people travelled to the game, but nobody held a gun to their head.

I’d rather finish higher up the table and qualify for Europe than get distracted by the League Cup and suffer the inevitable semi final loss to a Man City or Arsenal anyway.

They should make the League Cup a match for the reserve sides or something if they want to keep it. There’s just too much football already with European completions, internationals, etc.

Well he has to, but he also has to show something, at the very least the desire to be on the pitch He was incredibly unarsed, which isn't in character for him at all and a bit of a shame, but no team should have passengers like that.

Hopefully he picks it up, but this was just awful from him.

Agree, I said during the match on another page he had to go at half time. He's the type of player you know after 10 mins if he's arsed or not.
