I don’t get why people are that bothered. The League Cup is an anachronism in the modern game. It’s the FA Cup that matters.

I get people travelled to the game, but nobody held a gun to their head.

I’d rather finish higher up the table and qualify for Europe than get distracted by the League Cup and suffer the inevitable semi final loss to a Man City or Arsenal anyway.

They should make the League Cup a match for the reserve sides or something if they want to keep it. There’s just too much football already with European completions, internationals, etc.
Hiya mate you seem to have seen lots of cup wins and wembley finals, wish I supported a club that could turn its nose up at one of only 2 realistic trophies

That's a terrible attitude. Notwithstanding actually winning something, heaven forfend, just imagine what it would for the confidence and mentality of the players. Knowing that they have it in themselves to win crucial matches. No matter, lets keep trundling along the nether reaches of the league waiting for success to come in two or three seasons' time, like we have been doing for thirty years. Yes, let's do that.

Maybe, but it’s my opinion. Just from a big picture perspective there is far too much football nowadays and this would be one of the easiest competitions to designate to the dustbin. Most other countries have their FA Cup and the league and that’s it.

What a glass half empty view. I’m not saying compete for honours every year, I’m saying do far more in cup competitions than Moyes did.

Bold to throw out “You lack class and maturity” when you just said “absolute weapon you mate”.
You accused me of having a tedious life from nowhere. I tend to react when people are rude to me for no reason. Maybe just think about the way you converse with people on here in future and try to be a bit more respectful of those with a different opinion. I hope you wouldn't speak to me like that in person so need to do it online. I've supported Everton avidly for 45 years. I have no expectations of success but support them anyway and I am realistic about what good looks like.
