2025/26 David Moyes

We have to get two wins against West Ham and Palace to get back that upbeat positive vibe we’ve had because we’ve lost it these last few days. Despite the likes of Cascarino and others saying the new stadium won’t help us as clubs “always struggle” in a new home, we actually look like we could turn the HD in to a fortress. We’ve looked strong at home so far with the big crowds behind us and should have comfortably beaten Villa last time out too.

Palace are a decent side, Glasner has got them playing great stuff to be fair to him and them, but BOTH of these games should be won on home turf there’s no excuses. 6 points from the next two and we go in to the next international break in a positive mood again, and a very good position in the table.

I’m getting the sense that the second honeymoon is over on here, guys.
I don't think its that, its just its the same old things repeated, I says on another post I dont expect Dibling to get a run of games other than 10 mins here and there, it looks like Aznou will be fired out of a cannon, in fact I don't think Branthwaite will ever get back in when he's fit- he likes steady eddies and it'll be same starting 11 week in week out same complaints, we'll win games and lose games and mostly fans are happy with that

We need a bit of coaching I think.
First 15 mins or so we were just launching it again, rather than having the confidence to try and play through what is a poor Wolves side. I don't mind clearing the lines, but that was stupid tactics over and over again. Movement was poor..
Also, needs to work out a way to capitalise on Grealish and Ndiaye getting doubled-up on, which we saw when they came on and which is surely the tactic other teams will apply. This should means there is space elsewhere if we can move it quickly. Grealish in particular can't do everything on his own and lost the ball a bit yesterday because he was trying to beat 2 players. Ndiaye also had a relatively poor game by his standards, probably for the same reason (although his touch and shooting really let him down too on occasion).

In reality we’ll have a moan on here , in a group chat or over a pint and move on probably whilst grumbling.

doesn’t mean it isn’t extremely disappointing mind .
It really is. I tutted and turned the telly off.

Then remembered, after sulking for about three minutes, that my self worth isn’t dependent on Everton. And then disappointing bastards can’t make me mourn a trophy they’ve never won.

Exactly. Touch some grass, kiss some girls, throw your dog a ball, don't let Moyes dictate your mood.
There’s no virtue in performative rage on here as though there’s been a *real* disaster. Unless you’re treating this place as personal therapy in which case I’d urge you seek genuine therapy.

Allowances made for in the moment fume, obvs.

I know all premier league teams rest players in the league cup but usually against teams from the lower divisions not against a premier league teams away from home.
You would have thought after going to Anfield on Saturday and hearing their fans mocking us about 30 years without a trophy he would be determined to break that sequence. 30 years by the way that he was manager for nearly half.
People saywe don't care what the RS say well i do care not just for myself but for the generation of our fans who have seen us win nothing yet still remain loyal to the club.
They deserve so much better
We now have two targets for the rest of the season the first is a lower european place and secondly the FA Cup if Moyes makes the same mistake again in the cup I am done with him
