2025/26 David Moyes

We can't win the league

We have a chance with a bit of luck to win a cup

Resting players in winnable Cup ties after a 3 decade trophyless run is absolutely something that should annoy fans.

We all knew beforehand that team couldn't win. It's not outrage - it's something we've seen 20 times before. It's disrespectful to wolves to think wrong can go away there, change over half our team, and still win.
Who said anything about winning the league? We haven't looked like winning a cup in as long really either .
As i said before every manager rests players..wolves made 9 tonight so its a bit ridiculous to say we couldn't win it . Did wolves disrespect us as well then?
We can be annoyed yes . But we can also be some what measured and not be calling for the manager to be sacked on the basis .

If you all want to get excited about a cup competition for who can beat the most B teams, then be my guest. It's a clown cup and a distraction from actual football. We're never winning it in any of our lifetimes and even if we did there's no way I'm partying with you scruffs
What's the point in supporting us then? To watch us finish 10th, we should always prioritise winning trophies, getting to the 84 Milk Cup final was the catalyst to us winning those trophies in the 80s, winning the FA cup was the best moment of my Everton supporting life,I'll take a cup over league position every day of the week

People can take it anyway they like and some will of course. I don't think anyone represents we - as already illustrated their is a diversity of opinion.

We've made big investments in the likes of Dibling, Barry and Charly, we want to develiop players like Tim - how do we do that without playing them and giving the room to fail, truth being if you want to be competitive and competitive, you will need a squad bigger then 11, we cant afford to buy 25, 30 mill guys, the only way we are being getting a high quality squad of 25 is developing them ourselves. Everyone wants young players with a high ceiling, no one want to be patient and give them space to fail and they develop.

I saw Pienaar, Arteta, Barines and Jags all of mares in their early Everton careers.

What im more annoyed about tonight is chances for many of young players who played tonight are going to be minimum.
Don't play them all at once, 2 or 3 changes not 7, we won't get good players signing unless we look like a side that competes for trophies,

Newcastle won the cup last year beating Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool along the way. Palace had a nice easy run early on in the FA Cup but then had to go to Fulham and beat a good Villa and City at Wembley. I don’t think our squad is there yet, we should have won tonight but if we had to go up against any of the top teams, especially away, I don’t think we could beat more than one at most in a cup run. Hopefully if the squad improves further, that will change.

Not going to criticise the manager here.

Seriously disappointed with the attitude and ability of the players, Alcaraz, McNeil and Barry particularly.

If you're disappointed with the ability of those players, wait until you hear who put them on the pitch ahead of way more capable players...The manager deserves a P45.
