January Transfer Window 2026

How did we miss this guy?
He was a Brazilian Striker and
everything.

Carlos Henrique Raposo, better known as ‘Carlos Kaiser’.

Despite lacking the skills to compete at a professional level, he managed to secure contracts with several clubs over a career that spanned roughly ten years. Remarkably, he never played a proper competitive match, with his closest appearance ending in a red card while warming up. He sustained the illusion through fake injuries, short stints at different clubs, and a series of elaborate tricks to conceal his lack of ability.

Like a Brazilian Dele Alli..
his books very funny , mentions Everton in it he used to to tell other clubs we were interested in him , says Romario cottoned onto him straight away hahah

For anyone that didn't listen to the Angus Kinnear video on ToffeeTV - He said in an ideal world January is likely to be quiet as we are unlikely to see the value for the quality of player we would like to add and that the job on the squad is more of a summer window situation than a January one. Also indicated that we didn't go for a RB on deadline day because a high quality one (in their eyes) just wasn't available.

Will probably be a window where we get in a loan or two to get us over the line rather than any perms.

Jan should be the time to sell.

Then end of the season when clubs need to sell to balance PSR/FFP we'll have the cash to buy from any Jan sales.

Definitely a seller's market aye. Kinnear pointed it out perfectly, that it's mostly for short-term fixes and can lead to clubs overpaying, which is what the club wants to avoid. He did say that if there was potential for a long-term prospect then the club could go for it, which was good to hear. Definitely a refreshing and open interview.

Does anyone remember juliano rodrigo who Moyes signed in 2002. Played a few games for us and then we sold him.

Alcaraz being a really good example

Yeah feel like I’ve heard that one before.
