We quite clearly have been looking at the FA market considering we gave Tete a contract offer. Feel free to search for the FA’s that have already gone and tell me who we missed out on.

I think Semedo would have been a good option. Other than that I don't know much about some of the players.

I just don't understand asking supporters to list transfer targets. If we were all top level scouts and good at completing transfers then we would work in football. I can give my opinion on players in english football but after that I wouldn't have a clue about most players.

You’re just assuming that though aren’t you. He’s a free agent who’s better than the backup CM’s we have, and he’s definitely not the only free agent in world football who would’ve been able to pad our pathetic squad out either.

Well I put it to you that you’d have kicked off if I’d said to you in May that it would be August and we wouldn’t have strengthened the starting XI at all. Things shift and change don’t they.

I don't think so.

When you need 10 players or more then it was never going to all be 20m pound signings. There was always going to have to be free agents and loans to cover at least 3 or 4 of those signings if not more. Loans are always much more harder to predict as well because they tend to be last minute and you often don't even know who will become available. At least there is a bit more clarity with who is not under contract.

I agree that sorting FA’s out early is a great idea but there have to be ones out there that actually bring something to the squad like Tete. I can check when I’m home but can’t remember too many good, gettable FA’s have moved so far I was gutted about.

If we sign Brownhill as 3rd choice cm we deserve to fight for relegation.

The standard is so low. I honestly do not know what the recruitment team was doing since May.
