Why oh why do we seemingly take an eternity to get signings over the line. Barry signing being a prime example. Is it me or do other clubs make it bids get fee etc agreed, couple of days later signing confirmed. Is it down to the endless haggling over fees.

I think sometimes stories, are leaked far to early. It takes a long time to do, deals. As for haggling fees and wages. Don't forget the less we spend on a player, the more we have left for the next player.

Indeed. This is beginning to show a lack of preparation.

If theres nothing much this or next week then i'll begin to be concerned.
My advice to you is between now and then buy some thick rubber sheets
You will need them as we are all going to be sorely disappointed ( as usual ) with this window

Right Winger - who do we all want?

Based on who we've been linked with I've listed them in order of preference

Bakayoko
Kubo
Hutchinson
Doak
Fellows
Harrison (lol)

I'll be brutally honest I've seen little of Doak/Fellows so prepared to be persuaded they're better. Also if the fee quoted is accurate think Hutchison is a bit overpriced so he's moved down.

Also not included Mcatee as I think he's a bit more of a hybrid attacking midfielder cum winger and not the quickest. Although being greedy I'd have him aswell ๐Ÿคฃ

We've signed Alcaraz.
We've given Branthwaite and Gana new contracts.
Barry is tentatively "agreed".

We've also appointed a completely new team of people who are responsible for your aforementioned rebuild. There's things going on, don't doubt the process.
Itโ€™s right that we doubt the process. If weโ€™re not doubting processes after everything thatโ€™s happened over the past 30 years then we deserve everything we get.

Itโ€™s certainly not at the panic stage yet but thereโ€™s no point denying most of us expected more to have been done by now. Getting a couple of people to sign new contracts is hardly impressive work, especially considering there were more who we wanted to stay and didnโ€™t. We have a lot to do, at some point weโ€™re going to have to start actually doing it.
