Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

New Athletic piece indicates that Nuamah and Fellows deals were in place to be done in January but we didn't sign them due to the Moyes appointment and feeling like we would get through without signing them.

Reports that Fellows would have been an initial 8m fee. At that price I'd definitely look at going back in for him and then signing a more established RW aswell.

Why does anyone care of we buy a player from the RS?

They’re just another irrelevant club, it’s just like buying from Brentford - who cares what they do with the money, our only concern is buying good players.

Over a long time we have acquired some excellent players from there.
They'd need a good cleansing like if we did bring one of 'em in.

Probably a period similar to how North Koreans are un-brainwashed if they ever make it to South Korea: Lock the player in Finch Farm for a few weeks and show them documentaries of Heysel and 'highlights' of all the occasions their fans have tried to kill/rob people while playing abroad, then follow it up with some history lessons from Everton's pomp in the 60s and 80s.

Finally, after that, they ought to be good to be reintroduced to the real world once again.

Probably end up with this fella knowing us:
1000

Reckon I would prefer him anyway, cooking up a storm at BM.

Fellows...like Tete was one i've been banding around for a while.

i feel his style and play suits Moyes and Everton more than certain others, he is a bit head down to by line, but its something we don't have.

Similar running style and build to Anthony Gordon

Glad didnt just rush the deals if moyes wasnt sold on them, sounds like similar tot he alcaraz situation. Just hooe have done all the right work and can finally fix out wide

linked to Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic, got 12 goals in 37 appearances for Millwall last season. I haven't really watched him, but seems to score different types of goals; scruffy ones, from the edge of the box, from corners, crosses, free kicks, balls in behind, etc

only 19, no mention of a fee

Depending on what happens with Lyon's appeal, Nuamah might also be available on the cheap.

Seen a really rubbish link to that Serbian striker at Millwall - Mihailo Ivanović.

I know it is made up but he is someone I'd like us to go for. A bit like O'Brien he is just one that I get the feeling would do well for us.

I don't think it was a case of not being sold on them. I think it was more a case that if we don't need to spend any money then we won't and in terms of someone like Fellows we can keep an eye on them and then possibly sign in the summer if it was still a go-er.

Yes please, he is such an under the radar player but there is clearly a talented player there with a unique skillset.

I like him. So much so I'm hoping for a more reputable source.
