Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Those aren't the only two options, though, mate.

We've got a whole new team in charge of transfers, so they have to back themselves to identify and recruit good signings. Full-back has probably been our biggest problem position behind striker in recent seasons, so to see us sticking another plaster over it is a little disheartening.

Of course, we may sign some sexy young RB that can come up under the tutelage of Walker in which case it would look like markedly more inspired business.

Thats what I'm hoping for.

If we bring in Walker then the hope would be that we bring in a young player behind him to take over his place by season end.

Alternatively a young player in a more advanced position where the RB (and perhaps LB) funds can be added to sign a more expensive CM or RW player.

Will never get anywhere near the £10m but the £6m will go towards making up for the disaster that was the nkounkou transfer
Not sure any transfer we made a profit on could be described as a disaster. He’s not exactly pulled up trees in the Bundesliga so we made a bit of money on a player who would have done nothing for us. Perfectly fine.

The Brains trust at the Echo have said our interest is tentative at best.

I think as Evertonians one thing we've learnt is that anytime Fab Ramano links us with a player you take it with a giant pinch of salt.

So Everton are going to pay them sky high wages and not play him....think again mate.

Sent him out on loan with a stupidly low option to buy.

Then the loaning club activates the clause, buys him. Then instantly sells him to abother club for 3x what they paid.

If you dont think thats a disaster when we were literally desperate for money and selling anyone with any value in our youth set up then i dont know what is tbh.

Yeah, but they still bought him for €8m
Yeah but the point is it looks like he probably wasn't actually worth it. If he'd gone on to be a key player for them then it'd be fair to say it had been a bit of a disaster for us, but it seems like we may have judged his level correctly and it's Frankfurt who've had the disaster. You can't really legislate for someone overpaying later when you sell someone.

I’d rather have Kyle Runner, than Kyle Walker. Can’t have a player walking throughout a match. Pretty basic.

Such naivety from the club. I thought we’d left those days behind us.
just depends on the deal for me the wage then also feel if it was a loan would prefer grealish instead. Would prefer kwp even tete who was at fulham,

McNulty likewise poured a bit of cold water on it saying he didn’t think we would want or need Walker.

I’d settle for Kyle Walker Peters but there is no way Dame Davey of Dither is signing even one of them at this rate, let alone all three.

Considering the majority of Moysie's signings have been a success, and that he doesn't want to sign players that will not improve the team overall, I'm quite happy to watch the merry-go-round and see who is thrown into Finch Farm.

I'm particularly looking forward to tomorrow's fixture-list publication. I will peruse it by the pool in our Cala Bona hotel, where myself and Mrs TT shall be for the next nine days.
