Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Dysfunctional it may be to us but we all have our own ways of supporting the club and to me I see his love for the club even if I don't agree with much of his rhetoric. The world would be boring if we all thought the same though so fair play to him for voicing his opinions even if he knows many of them won't make him popular on here. I've always admired people with strength of their own conviction
He's a shock jock. The GOT equivalent of Alex Jones.

5 goal contributions in 13 games before his knee exploded
Rates Bolasie. Doesn’t rate McNeil.

I’ve absolutely bloody nailed it with this assessment:
I think what some of our fans want is those speedy step over merchants who cut inside on their strong foot, tie themselves in knots beating a man, get about 2 goals a season, but look boss on MoTD

Thoughts on Aiden McGeady?

I dont rate bolasie. I just pointed out his stats. He was having a decent season for us but still wasnt good enough even if he stayed fit.

I look at teams like Bournemouth and see the pace they play at, there ability too win the ball back and counter attack, the speed they press at.

Then i look at our slow af team spring a counter attack and the opposition player walking over and taking the ball off us. The pressing that is embarrassing at how slow it is.

Not only is it not good enough its just really sad to watch and this isnt city im envious of its bloody Bournemouth ffs

McNeils numbers are pretty good, and his set pieces are considerably better than anyone else in the side. I'd like another winger on the right, and for mcneil to be in and out the side, he definitely has a role to play
His numbers look good because the rest of the players around him have horrific numbers. Yet ndaiye has more goals in his first season at Everton , than McNeil has ever had in a season. Also and I knkw
It’s a very small sample size, but Alcaraz also has better numbers.

We all know McNeil had a good left foot and takes a good set piece, but we’re moving on from being solely relying on set pieces. They call him the paint brush, but he’s not Picasso, he’s your painter on Lanzarote prom Doing portraits for a tenner

Mcneil actually suits the right side, but ONLY if he plays narrower, with a willing quality overlapping right back.
That way he gets to unleash his left foot from somewhere around the corner of 18 yard box, or, if they (opponents) have cut that option off, he can feed it to the full back who is overlapping. All of which he can do with his left peg.
His issue is mobility to break forwards. If alcaraz turns and charges forward with the ball, mcneil would not keep up.

Think he had 8 assists in 20 something games, and when he gets the oppurtunity he's a decent finisher/ shot taker

Keane has only scored one goal under Moyes and it was from a set piece
We are looking at different goals then. On MC Niel I think when fully fit he'll play an important part in the squad in the coming season. Was our only real attacking outlet in the Dycheball system. Given a bit more freedom to get in advanced positions think he'll be good for 6-8 goals and at least a handful of assists.

Mate, I wouldn't get your hopes up on Bournemouth-esque football anytime soon. Just isn't Moyes and he won't take the handle off, either. He'll really value our defensive structure first and foremost. Sacrificing that just so we get to watch entertaining wingers? Nope, not for me.

Of course, we definitely need to improve in the transitions, but as we saw last season with Ndiaye the entertainment can and will come. Someone on the right would change the game dramatically imo. A lot of our fans see that, though.
