Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Forget all the players supposedly "linked," "tipped," and of which Everton are "aware." Let's take a moment to feel hopeful about this:
  • Angus Kinnear, CEO
  • Chris Howarth, head of strategy (The Friedkins also bought his data analytics company, Insight Sport.)
  • Nick Hammond, trades and negotiations
  • James Smith, director of scouting
Everything points to an ambitious team with a record of finding quality talent for real value, both as players for the club and as future sales. They were unlikely to make moves during the first short window, especially while still assembling the team that would make things happen, but this leadership team should inspire some confidence. I think the only position left is football operations.

I hoped Steve Walsh would find another Mahrez, Kante and Vardy in Italy that time.

It’s the hope that kills ya.

No. This boy is finished until he sorts out his personal life
Moyes is planning to take measures to show Ferguson that the hard partying lifestyle is destructive and foolish by having him hang out with Andy van der Meyde for an evening, by the time Ferguson has to do his 15th line of coke he'll be willing to give up the hedonistic life

Moyes is better than Dyche, not hard, but he is not a magician. We need better players.
You would think he was with some of the gushing over his recruitment last time.

One of the take homes for me from the Smith pending appointment mate, is Moyes is wielding a significant influence behind the scenes, he’s clearly a Moyes man.

Definitely had an alarming drop off. Just wonder about his fitness.
It's one where I'd trust Moyes's judgement.
Coleman will have a fair idea if there's a player still in there somewhere.
Where did all the “private life” comments originate around him? The manager questioned his mental and physical condition, but he also treated some other players oddly around the same time. Thought it was more that he played through injury, stopped scoring, made it worse, downtime, surgery, no run of games, huge hit to confidence, terrible loan choice etc etc etc. was like people could just accept they got carried away about him after bagging 3 goals.

Not that I think that we should go there at all. Any striker purchase is a gamble at our price range, let alone one with added questions and myths.

The lad Woltemade just scored Germany's opening U21 Euros goal against Slovenia. Wasn't convinced by his turn out for the big team last week but see how he goes here. We still amongst the rumours for him?

now this is finally in place we should stsrt making some moves

we are all desperate for the signings to be happen but it was unlikely we were gonna plunder 100m without a team recruited to make those decisions
