Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread


Chelsea have announced which players they are taking to the Club World Cup and Chilwell and Chukwuemeka have been left out, we were linked with both in January, Chilwell went to Palace on loan instead and Chukwuemeka went to Dortmund on loan.

We are being linked again, I think a transfer for Chilwell would be difficult becasue of his wages, hes got 2 years left and on £190k a week, but a load could be very good, hes a really good fullback

Chukwuemeka is a good player, but on £100k a week it might be difficult for us to justify that wage on a player who has talent but is largely unproven but a loan for him could give us an extra body in there, he can play as an 8 or 10 so could replace Doucoure.

the thing is though, do you think the scouts who work for the club sit there and watch a YouTube clip whilst eating a pizza then ringing Moyes and say this guy looks good?

it's only us fans who do that 😉

Surely cannot be any worse than Young.....

On a free let's go for it.

Don't get me wrong I would love much better fb's, and those who can get up the pitch and contribute.... however, based on the stats from last season defence isn't really the problem.

Yes I know FB's are also integral to forward play and getting those goals, and this became more evident when they were allowed past the half way line when Moyes came in and no longer Dyche Ball.

If we can get an adequate full back in for free, which as i say, is better than the options we had last year then it is a step forward and we spend the limited money we do have on the goal creators/scorers and those which are going to help us keep possession in their half!

Is young being booted at the end of his contract?
I Dont mind this if true, hes a small upgrade i feel, and free, has worked with moyes etc etc...

Chilwell was not even a starter for Palace, I wouldn't go near him, them wages aswell it's a no from me

Rather see Digne ( 1 year left on his Villa contract, 31 years old ) than Chilwell.

Bring a blue home, set right a FSW wrong.
