Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

things are happening though right? Charly signed, sounds like Gana is all but done. We've been negotiating with all out of contract players in some form or another and it sounds like - if somewhat optimistically - we are making moves with the likes of Grealish and Delap both approached, All that whilst also almost completely restructuring the leadership and recruitment teams. I' pretty relaxed at the moment, in fact i'm excited by this summer.

I’ve no doubt we’ll sign a few. Just hope they’re good enough to improve us! It’s hard competing with teams who can offer European football.

It's a completely different club mate.

New owners,new management structure,new manager.

To suggest at the start of June that this summer will be like previous once is probably abit out.

People are that mentally scarred by the Kenwright days they think that this is the clubs default setting, when in essence it's not even close.
I think anyone with concerns is being rational. We have zero idea what kind of owners TFG are going to be, they haven't actually done anything of note yet, and Everton has continually let people down for decades now. I'm not saying anyone should be crying disaster at this early point of the window but triumphalism makes no sense either.

Yeh, so, every window, I explained we WOULD make signings and, we did every window except the one highlighted above, for which I held my hand up. I was right 90% of the time. Same with the relegation bedwetters, some starting in August, like the transfer bedwetters who start in May - they are just wasting their collective energy stating ' we go with what we got' or 'we are defo down' - when 90% of the time it was wrong.
Hmm, just that one, eh? How about this one from January 31st of this year?

But you only do it at the start of windows, right?

But shouldn't we just give them the benefit of the doubt? I don't think it's being rational at all. People can have concerns, but whilst there's at least a chance of them being unfounded concerns wouldn't it just be best to say something like "I have concerns, but I hope they prove to be unfounded" Instead, there's a small minority who will just endlessly moan and insist the rest of us aren't taking a rational viewpoint.
