Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The same mastermind who signed maupay and didnt sign one player with pace in a league thats built on pace.

I know thelwell was working in a difficult situation but he didnt do a very good job imo

Interesting, so O'Brien, Ndiaye and Alcaraz dont have pace? Or how about Garner who is was ranked as one of the fastest in the premier league 2 seasons ago.

Oh and as pretty much everyone has read by now (as its been stated probably 1000 times) Thelwell didnt sign Maupay.

1 of the posters who liked your post doesnt like DOFs in general

1 of the other posters is a self confessed red who accuses Evertonians of being reds and enjoys belittling others. Notably he hated everything about Thelwell and comes across as though Thelwells been banging all the women in his family.

Read a fair bit about this guy. He really only had one season with getafe. Before he was playing non professional football in the third tier of Spanish football. Saying that, he has a very high ceiling, very raw and young. Interestingly, he was critical to getafe survival this season as they did not get points when he was not playing (through suspension...not many injuries i believe). Just had his first start for the eagles against russia as the advanced midfielder and played well. I could see him as the "next" doucoure for us. I think getafe would be prepared to take less than the 25 millions euros clause as they need to sell to balance the books.

Thanks mate, i was actually thinking he reminded me of The Duke stylistically (with a touch) in the videos posted - he looks like a presence and presser - shades of Mofro as well.

Id have sancho because i think hes youre typical player that needs the arm around him and moyes could do that.

But grealish? Im not too keen on. Seems like the type of lad whos done it all and lost his drive. Just wants to live his life up and maybe play a bit of football on the weekend and i honestly dont think you can do anything with that.

Obviously this is not taking into account of theor wages like

I'd say signing Sancho would be the act of a mad man.

Having said that, Moyes has form.

See Leeds have bid €26m for Habib Diarra. Bargain at that price. He’s one of the players I really want us to get. It's galling when they go to teams like Chelsea, but we shouldn't be letting them go to clubs like Leeds without a fight.

Would be really disappointed if we've dropped our interest post Thelwell.

If he's on Leeds list then you would expect he'd be on 'our' former Leeds leadership list and as you say, was on our former transfer masterminds list as well.

£22mil is a fair price BUT as @Simon Buttle and I have both suggested, Andrey Santos was next to him (or behind him) last season for Strasbourg. Now he is the one of the two i would say would become a £60mil+ value player.

If Chelsea are open to offers he'd be the one of the pair i'd want
