Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I won’t labour the point, but I hate the way our recovery is said to be so far away that it’s going to take 500 billion pound to resolve and won’t occur for at least another five years. Meanwhile, Villa and Forest have somehow managed to eclipse the mighty midtable Brighton and secure European football in less than 12 months, with it being Champions League qualification in Villa’s case.

I think KWP is a bit crap tbh. The only reason people are harping on about him is because he’s free and has a double-barrelled surname. I think and hope that we will be looking for much better than KWP.
Just because the amoubt of players needed this window. I think he is decent not anything special but could do a good job for us. Would deoend on the wages he would want to come here tho. If signings like him help us to go and bring in quality across the pitch like wingers ect. Also just if we did get him at rb i would still be looking for another during the season with a view to bringing one in the season after.

@Eggs and @blueloon are your go to guys for the youth team I think.
Re the original question , I wouldn’t expect any of our youngsters to do an ” Armstrong” and emerge so positively as a first team prospect this pre -season . There are no regular u 21s looking like they’ll make what is a big leap up , our current talent id say is in the u18s and u16/15s, there’s some exciting prospects there but they’ll need time and a few years away. I’d expect some to feature in squad training and on the bench but for me we need to buy in players to fix any problem areas. Except Armstrong. Harrison is going to be a star 🙂

What about Sherif? Is he in the category of won't make it or needs more time?

Is Braidon Graham going to be the next big thing( after Armstrong)?

right, whos up for this weeks insanity as we all await transfers when probably everyone involved in making deals is on holiday in one of Dubai, Maldives or Maui

….unless you’re watching 14 year old Rooney or Osman it really is a lot of guesswork.

The thing I like about Graham is that outstanding attackers at that age often have a huge physical advantage over their peers in terms of strength, height, power and pace but this lad is about 10st dripping wet, everything you see is about quality, football brain and application. He was playing open-age football in League of Ireland at 15, takes some attitude to achieve that given his lack of physicality.

I think @blueloon is spot-on thinking there’s promise in U18 squad, including a couple of defenders worth keeping an eye on next season.
