TarksI read today that Opta has rated five of our players as amongst the top five hundred in Europe based on their performances this season. Tark is one of them. Without looking it up, does anyone fancy having a guess at the other four?
Definitely Pickford ahead, I may be slightly biased since I know for a fact Everton signed Pickford after I raved about him whilst watching him play for Preston.Probably our best since the Moyes era? Maybe Pickford ahead?
Not a bad accolade.
Got them all apart from Branth. There’s a mystery fifth man!Tarks
Pickford
Gueye
Ndiaye
Branthwaite
That's in order of confidence for my guesses.
Got almost all, but it’s not DwightI'll go with Idrissa, Pickford, Iliman, and McNeil?
No Branth or Doucs, but all the others yeah. Branth was number six hundred and something surprisingly!Tarkowski
Tarkowski
Gana Gueye
Pickford
Branthwaite
Hmmmmm... Doucoure?
First three spot on, but different fourth. Gana was our top rated player this year by opta’s various metrics. Interesting that Tark does so well even when different ways of judging it are taken into account tho.Pickford, Ndiaye, Gana, JB
Beto?Got them all apart from Branth. There’s a mystery fifth man!
I thought he’dve done well statistically in terms of minutes played, but it’s not him. I’ll bring the other player’s thread back up to the top to give the answer there!Beto?
How the hell is Flekken, Haaland, Diaz and Palmer in that team of the seasonSome indications of the season he’s had

Remember that he had a couple of absolute crap games over the winter, and missed a few in the run in with his injury.
In some elite company here.
Probably the best tackle I've ever seen. Clean as a whistle, ball first, went in with one foot only, leg bent with no malice intended. Great tackle and rightly wasn't sent off. It was disappointing to see Duncan at half time telling everybody it should have been a red card.Piss-boilingly brilliant choice of pic for that post
