2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

More hate on here than at the match in my opinion.
There is a long history of many sexually repressed men posting hate for Dom in this thread. It seems their for years flacid members were twinged to life by the sight of DCL in culottes. The shame, confusion and joy were too much to process, so they posted mean stuff on here.

Probably best he goes. The damage is done. They'll never forgive.

I really hope he leaves. Negative energy just seems to follow him around and he divides the fanbase in such an extreme way that we really don’t need going forward. I want this summer to be a hard reset, there is a good positive mood around the club at the moment. We don’t need the toxic baggage that he brings with him. Nothing against him personally, he is just too divisive. He also needs a fresh start in his own career just as much as we need one.
Absolutely spot on, we want a centre forward the whole fan base can get behind, we're still debating this fella 8 years later, let's move on he isn't going to improve

I can’t believe there are genuine shouts for him to stay.

We want to reduce our wage bill - he’s one of our highest earners.

We want a fit, robust squad - he’s a crock.

We want committed players - he’s ran his deal down hoping for better offers.

We want consistent goalscoring strikers - he’s hasn’t hit double figures since Covid and in the last two seasons has gone on monstrous goalless streaks.

There are some mitigating circumstances for the above points but we wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole if he was coming from another club. Are our standards so through the floor because he’d be a signing of convenience?

For £1.5m he’s been a really good servant and the goal against Palace will live long in the memory but we simply must part ways now - for his sake as much as ours.
