Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Aparently, dependant on who we opt to keep/chose as our first choice striker next a year, talk of us looking at Al Ahly striker Wessem Abou Ali as a left field squad option with the potential to improve

Of course he does, he won’t get wages close to it elsewhere, nowhere near good enough.
Has a couple of nice touches every game or two. Harrison is much better and gets involved a lot lot more and even he isn’t good enough.

Yeah there must be a big element of that. Personally would rather see Lindstrom have another run than Harrison but not fussed if we don't see either next season. Actually with regard to Harrison I don't want to see him in blue next season.

The market will dictate when we sign players, like it or not players we will be in for will hopefully be higher quality then the market we have ben shopping in for the last five years, these players will need convincing coming here and will assess probably a lot of options - we will have some convincing to do to be competitive for them. Then they will have to fit into our financial structure.

Hopefully Moyes may have one or two special unknowns up his sleeve who may come quickly or easily enough like he had with Arteta, Pienaar, Soucek and Coufal originally.

Lindstrom too light weight for them prem. He played a good 20 plus games and was average to poor in most.

No point bringing him back for more of the same

It will be fascinating to see how Moyes will shape this team next season. As he said we have a strong platform at the back but thats it.

We really struggle to go past players, link up play is slow and stodgy and we just lack creativity.

Watching Palace last night was a real eye opener.

I would welcome the return of both Lindstrom and Mangala but only on loan. We have so many openings in the squad filling them with low risk players that we know, is a much better option than gambling on 11 signings that we don't know if they will succeed or not. If you were in Moist's shoes and you only have 12 first teamers going into the season I think you would be looking for 2 things:
1) Stability - known entities that you know will get the job done - the 2 who played before injury last year must be high on his list.
2) Spice - something to get the fans up off those HD - BMD seats! That may be in the shape some classic Moist left field signings or McAtee/Delap type.

He does not need another back up striker as he has Beto and Chermiti at his disposal. Personally I think the signs point to Moyes being done with DCL.

Difnt see anything about lindstrom much like harrison both work hard but end of the day is no end product. Another loan maybe at a push but is a no for me we need better. Magala is out until xmas also hasnt played under moyes and we have new scouting team now so cant see that going any further

As I say Im not fussed either way. Only thing is, if Moyes wants him back he does have a good recored of improving players he has faith in.

Lindstrom is a strange one. Promised so much in his early career, but dropped off a lot since leaving Frankfurt. You get the impression Napoli may have affected him, especially during such a chaotic season (3 managers after the league win), to then come to a terrible Everton team under Dyche, confidence at rock bottom.

He looked better under Moyes, stronger too, but certainly not improved enough to buy. I have no problem with another loan though, with the hope that that stability brings out the best in him. Some players thrive that way, feel like he just needs to get his confidence back.
