Ex players on the pitch Sunday:

I did think Paul Power would be there - sad not to see him

There was little representation form the 98 - 02 era. No John Collins, Materazzi, Scott Gemmil. John Oster. Carl Tiler. Michael Branch. Craig Short. Slaven Bilic. Don Hutchinson. Richard Dunne. Alexanderson. Steve Watson. Idan Tal. Pistone. Joe Max Moore. Richard Gough. Rodwell. Nuno Valente. Louis Saha. Bilyaletdinov.

Serprised Gazza wasn’t there he loves a party

Brought it home to me just how much Ferguson is a con man when he was in the company of the true legends yesterday.

The old players who either won stuff and / or left it all on the pitch in careers lasting hundreds of games must look at him and think "WTF?"

I'm sure they don't at all. Tom Davies however...

It seemed quite embarrassing bringing players of that era out right after the legends of years before.

The worst thing about yesterday was Ferguson getting interviewed by Bellew.

He defo looks on something. He was daft and inappropriate to the occasion.

The legends are the legends for a lot of reasons. Having a bit of class is one of those things.

I dont know if anyone else agrees, but since he's been plugging this book and in the media for the past few weeks he looks like he's believing his own publicity. He was almost bearable when he was humble. Now he's got a giant ego to feed again and it doesn't look great.

He was the one fly in the ointment there yesterday.

No dobt some clown at the club will offer him a job believing it'll show they have the finger on the pulse.

Rooney’s rehabilitation is just as WTF for me

I agree mate. But I like Wayne more because he's at least a born and bred blue and he's pretty considered in what he says - more so than Ferguson for sure.

But Evertonians are soft and sentimental fools: Kenwright and Sharp will have statues down at that new stadium. Give it a few years.

They'd all had a drink and Duncan has always been a bit of a cheerleader. I'm sure the crowd weren't offended that he was trying to drum up some extra atmosphere. At least he would shake your hand or pose for a picture. A lot of the others looked too self-important to stop for fans.
