New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Spurs in London, playing fairly regular champs league and could next season. Haven’t found a sponsor.

Yet everton in constant relegation have…at a quoted 10 million a season.

Could it be for the first time in years we have good owners!! Actual business men.

I doubt TFG with a turn over of 13 billion have gone lets take the first deal offered.

Your not being run by Bill or Farad you know
Superbly put ;)

Correct. West Ham's old stadium wasn't called Upton Park but it was still commonly called that, and used much more than it's official name. If BMD continues to be used by fans it will pass into common parlance regardless of what the building is called.
That's not the same anymore.

I lived a couple of miles from the new Brighton stadium when it went up and was named the 'Amex'.
Everyone said what an abysmal name is and how it will be always just called Falmer but when every single game refers to the ground multiple times in a day by it's official name that's what everyone ends up using.

Personally I think everyone is being a bit childish. It's just because it has the word 'd#£k' in it.

Better than the Emirates or Etihad any day off the week.

Do you really believe the "up to £10M" means £10M?

In any case, and as said: how on earth can a mickey mouse company like Hill Dickinson with a turnover of £100M afford to hand over £10M per year to Everton?

It's an utter sham of a story.

They've gone for a quick sale for a bargain price IMO and they didn't;t have the patience too get the appropriate deal.

Even allowing for all that and it's about £3M per year with more if Everton win trophies (no chance in the short term) this small business even paying out that makes no sense to me.

It's very suspicious.
"We demand Disney!"

Well the new owners will look pretty stupid saying its a huge commercial deal to be shown in 12 months its a terrible deal
The new owners haven't said it's £10m, though. Nowhere. It'll be below that number if it's "up to" because that will be contingent on qualifying for things like the Champions League, for example. The fact that there are very little details on the terms of the deal gives the bosses plenty of cover.
